Ok I believe that Takua was sent by the Turaga to claim the Mask of Light because they saw prophacies of a seventh Toa coming.
He was knocked off track on his way with the other Toa and he took longer.
After the toa emerged from the Protodermis it somehow effected the seventh toa which was suppost to be normal like before them and when he was coming they needed to gather his mask because he cannot use its power without it.
Tahu and the other Toa had to go to their turaga to get their Mask and weapon but without a turaga to present him with the mask they needed someone to claim it.
When he arrives the Rahkshi try to defeat him because Makuta fears him.
Takua stands along side of the ToL as the new Matoran while Jala is with Tahu, Hahli with Gali,Hafu or Huki with Pohatu, Naparu with Onua,Kopeke with Kopaka, and Kongu or Tamaru with Lewa.
Takua is net a Ta Korean no more so he stands along with the ToL since he has no village.

that's a really good theory. it makes sense that ytakua could be a new "tuaga" if he wanted. though he wouldneed a whole new colour. but i thought he was from ta koro.

That is a really good theory. It might just be true.

Yah... I can sorta see that happening. I think Takua summons the ToL though, by finding the Mask of Light. But I can see Takua being the ToL's corresponding Matoran.

Good theorie but I'd say Maku standing by Gali, Huki standing by Pohatu, Onepu standing by Onua, Kongu staning by Lewa, and Matoro by Kopaka.
