I have thought of many thing Greg has said over the last couple of days -- one intrested
me quite a bit:
"Maybe when the Toa have completed their destiny they become something else"
It was something along those lines. So I thought maybe the Toa turn into Turaga.
A bit like this:

Toa --> Turaga --> Spirit or Matoran.

So what do YOU think. (or know hopefully smile.gif)
The_Conformist
Maybe. Who knows. Greg said that we'd learn more in the 2004-2005 storyline. biggrin.gif

A Toa becomes a Matoran? Sorry, but I think there's no chance of that happening. The Toa came to help the Matoran, not just to turn into more! And a warrior to a priest sounds like rather a strange move to me. And that thing about once a Toa has fulfilled its destiny, it becomes something else, isn't that what the the Toa have done to become the Nuva? I think it's more likely that they UPgrade, not DOWNgrade. And anyway, if this happened, the Great Beings would have to make more Toa. Why not just stick with the Toa they've got?

I'm think more matoran->toa-> turaga

The turaga are old and they know so much, they must've been something else at some point.
CrypticIdentity
I read somewhere about the Turaga having been like a Toa and then they turned into the Turaga when they completed their "destiny."

well I think I read that the toa would DEFINATLY not turn into turaga.

maybe when the toa complete their destiny they shall return to the heavens, or wherever it was they came from.
Mischief Mecha
Who knows? I think it may be possible that they become Turaga, but I'm not sure about Matoran. Good thought though. The turaga do seem to know everything, and that is just a little bit suspicious.......

That theory is very interesting but think about it. First of all the idea of downgrading form a toa to a turaga just doen't seem right. Secondly that would mean that there would have to be toa before the toa, which we know not to be true.
Samurai_Pohatu
The Toa Nuva wouldn't shrink down into turaga and loose their powers. They would become something more powerful, probably even more powerful than the Toa of Light and Makuta, COMBINED. They might become an elite force, the Toa something or other... but don't ask me, my answer might not be right.
Mata-Nui-ologist
Well that must take thousands or millions of years. Cause the Turaga are old, very old and the Matroans were on Mata Nui before the Toa were. So I think it is a wonderful theory, but the story line and and events kinda don't support that theory. I think they all are what they and stay that way. I think when he said that the Toa change after there destiny is completed. That can mean anything. They might turn into stars in the Sky and become part of stories. They might fade away and become icons on the island. You never really know. As long as it doesn't end any time soon cause i want it to go on for many years. It would break my heart literally if they end this storyline. But, back to my statement. Just like human. After our lifespan is over with and our designated time is over with. We change into something else or rather transend into another stage of existance, depending on what your belief is. So since GregF doesn't specifically say what they turn into it is up for imagination. But look at mythology, When demi gods and some mortals do things that were heroic they were rewarded with a new life on mount olympus or given eternal life. So since this storyline is mythology like, that might be the same thing.

Become something else...

Hmm... well, if their destiny is TRULY fulfilled (meaning that Mata-Nui is safe once and for all), I'm guessing that they would turn back into whatever they were before, and return to Paradise.

This really is giving me some good ideas for the last part of my fanfic...
