THE LAST OF THE TAHNOK

Chapter 1-Rumor

Ga-Koro was still full of celebration. Takua and Jala were enjoying their time there and would not return to Ta-Koro for a few days. And although the Turaga are still uneasy, the Matoran are confident the threat has finally passed.
"I can't wait to see Tahu Nuva!" Takua said enthusiastically.
"That will be nice," Jala added.
"I wonder if all the Bohrok were killed. What if some survived?"
"They are dead Takua. This I am sure of it. Besides, Tahu can protect us from anything now..."
"I guess," Takua replied sadly. He felt strange. Something wasn't right. Something...
A quick flash even caught Jala's attention. He tried to draw his disc but realized it wasn't there. A sharp hiss haunted the air. It almost sounded as if the wind were whispering, "DEATH...deathhhhh..."
"Turaga Nokama stepped forward. It was obvious something was happening. But what? And what strange force could have withstood the Krana's destruction?
"Protodermis..." Onewa said quietly. The whole of Ga-Koro seemed to look upon him. "It is powerful. Too powerful... Krana would not have died from the blast if shielded by Protodermis."
It made sense. Bohrok could have survived. But surely the Toa Nuva wouldn't let them harm Matoran. Would they? Takua wasn't sure. He shivered. Suddenly a splash rose something from the water.
Nokama jumped but relaxed her trident when she saw that Gali Nuva stood among them. They had to tell her about their suspicions but Gali already had her own. It would appear she already knew about any surviving Bohrok still roaming Mata-Nui.
"Just got word from Le-Koro," Gali gasped. "Apparantly some Tahnok are still alive. A rouge group is claiming they are going to rise the Bohrok swarm again. They aren't stupid though. They warned Matau to leave Le-Koro immeadiately or perish, then they left..."
This was not good news to Ga-Koro. Takua had to find out what was wrong here. He told Jala and the Captain told him to go alone. Huki and Maku would accompany him though, they were loyal companions. And they were in love, Takua had a feeling. Then a thought crossed his mind. Would Gali ever become in love with one of the other Toa? He bluched. He didn't have a love life. But he hoped Tahu would gain Gali's affection. Huki thought Pohatu and Maku agreed, just to follow Huki's example. Takua shook his head. It was a long way to Le-Koro...

PS I know the first chapter was short but I wanted to get rid of the boring part. Tell me what you think. Chapter 2 is going to be great. You just wait.

Chapter 2-Lewa's Honor

"Hurry Toa of Air or we shall never save your city!" Tahu exclaimed. Lewa and Tahu Nuva had been running (and floating) all the way form the Manganai Volcano.
"Slow down," Lewa complained. First the Bahrag, now this... Oh when would the horror end. Lewa longed for a quiet rest in Le-Koro with simple music and Gali-GALI!?!? What was Lewa saying? Was he attracted to Gali?
He couldn't hold it back. He'd liked Gali since the beginig. There was just something about her that made him...oh nevermind he thoguht. It doesn't matter. Not now anyway. Mata-Nui's freedom was what mattered. That was the true goal. To free the island. He hoped that dream had not yet faded.
Soon Le-Koro was in view and Tahu was happy to reach the town. He was even getting tired despite his earlier remarks.
"I am glad you are here Tahu, Lewa..." Matau said as they entered the treetop wood. "Apparantly the Tahnok are not all destroyed. A rouge group has been seen here and is now on the move. I am weary that they will turn their attack to us even if they are not aggresive to Matoran."
"What do you think they want Turaga?" Lewa asked.
"That is what scares me. They have told us what they want. The Krana."
Lewa was confused. What would they want with Krana? I thought the Krana were inative he thought to himlelf.
"This rouge group consists of 8 Tahnok, each with a different Krana. They have only one mission, free the Krana in the pits that we sealed away. They made it clear that they believe Tahnok are supreme leaders of the swarm and should rule without the others. This may be the effect of brief exposure to protodermis on the Tahnok's part. No matter, I still want you two to inversigate this. Do you think it's possible?"
"We will do our best Turaga. LEWA NUVA shall see it done. I assure you this."
The two Toa then left the hut. THey had some Tahnok to hunt...

Chapter 3- "Elite Eight"

"Soon the Tahnok will rise again and not even the Toa will stop us."
"Ha ha, we are incvincible."
"But are you sure this is what we should be doing?"
"It doesn't matter, we take orders from the HIGH Tahnok now, no Bahrag. He orders us to unleash the Krana and bring them to the pit. Our new Krana-Kal are very important..."
Just then the Tahnok's secret hive wall burst into flame and red and green farmiliar figures strided forward.
"Toa Nuva..."

"We will not allow you to destroy Le-Koro! T=phe swarms are extinguished. Now it is time for you to join your brothers Krana filth!" Lewa yelped as he spearheaded forward. Tahu's Magma swords cut the floor and heated it. THe ground below them was like a furnace and Tahu would now be able to face the Tahnok with full capacity.
"Go tunneler!"
"Wha?" Tahu asked. He could not see the Tahnok, he could only hear them. The flames rose around him but then he saw it.
Lewa saw the same. The two jumep at a tunneling Tahnok but were stopped by one Sentinel and a defensive one.
"AHHHH" Lewa cried and let his Air Katanas fly like insane machetes peircing the Bohrok flesh. The other wall busted through and Lewa persued three Tahnok into the Forest. Tahu was facing the rest. The Toa were left with a manhunt and a crusade that would determine the future of all Mata-Nui...

I like it mainly because it gives idea's for my epic

Alright, this post is intended to explain a bit about my story for those who don't quite understand it. After the Bahrag's imprisonment, the Turaga discover a rouge group of 8 Tahnok, each with a different Krana and they have been mildly affected by the Protodermis which sheilded their Krana from destruction. Tahu and Lewa Nuva are in Le-Wahi trying to investigate. These are not Bohrok-Kal, rather only Bohrok with knoledge of Tahnok-Kal however. Strange as it seems, It's a neat little fill-in to the story for fun. I hope you've liked it so far.

Chapter 4- Redemption

Lewa looked up through the charred branches as black as night lying on the ground around him. His bright green eyes peirced the Tahnok like two sharp sythes. The Toa of Air was not at all happy.
He sprang forward with his Air Katanas in both hands. His anger let loose and he sliced the first Tahnok's Krana free. 7 to go...
Lewa spun his Katanas in a backward motion and then propelled himself into the air. He transversed into his gliding form and summond the winds to his aide. A tornado rushed toward the remaining three Tahnok.
_________________________________________________________

Tahu couldn't see Lewa anymore. He had his own problems though. A strong sentinel Tahnok charged at him but was knocked aside by Tahu's Magma sword. He paid it no mind. If he could disarm the leader, they would be powerless.
The Toa of Fire struck hard and fast. He darted forward but an explosion from outside warned him not to be to hasty. This unfortunately gave the Tahnok time to manuver around him. They had circled around him. All five of them. Their fires burst in great blasts from all sides.
"Hau Nuva!" Tahu cried and activated his great new mask. The fires of his attackers reflected back on themselves but the creatures were too fast. The moved back in for a different attack. He hoped Lewa was doing better.
_________________________________________________________

Lewa was screwed. His tornado hadn't touched the Tahnok and he was out of tricks. The leader was busting out of the main hive structure where the battle had begun. He could faintly make out Tahu. Apparantly his twister had distracted the leader Toa Nuva.
Then it came to him. He had a plan. But Tahu would have to help him. As for Tahu, he was soon out in the open with his companion. The two turned to face all 8 Tahnok.
"Relax Tahu," Lewa said reassuringly. " I have a plan ok, just follow my lead."
Tahu rolled his eyes but nodded in agreement.
"Hey you dumb Bohrok leader!" Lewa shouted. Tahu got a little uncomfortable. What kind of plan was Lewa cooking up? "Have ta send yer cronies to finish us off eh? Pretty pathetic. Nah!" Lewa taunted the Bohrok.
The angry leader charged forward to Tahu. The fire Toa saw his chance. He activated his Hau Nuva once more and repelled his advisary. The Krana broke loose. The other Bohrok immeadiately were rendered powerless.
"No leader, no threat," Lewa said confidently.
"True," Tahui added. "But I don't think these Bohrok decided on this. THeir mission would have been simply to destroy if their Krana were on a normal mission. Something else gave them authority and reprogramed their objectives. This is actually a scary thought."
"Well, for now let's not care about it. We need some rest."
"I could use a vacation..."

That was a great Short Story! Plenty of action, a good storyline (though I was a little confused at the beginning...), and the Toa Nuva all acted "in character" if you understand what I mean.

Well done-9.2/10. biggrin.gif biggrin.gif biggrin.gif- J happy.gif E
