I have a litle crazy theorie, whoever said the ToL was good? I mean, you see, Makuta ans the ToL merge, but they are said to be enemys! And why else woul;d Lego give us all this info about the ToL, there was no proof it was definataly good now was there?
Just a crazy thought from a kid who is up too early on Saterday...

well it has been said that the TOL shall put an end to the darkness of Makuta or something, which means it's 99.99999999999999999999% probable that the TOL is good.
But then why would Makuta and the ToL merge, and be in the comics?
That's a good theory! I have simular belifs. I mean maybe makuta needs power of this world to free his suffering father or smthing and isrealy good guy.
Makuta did act because the Mask of Light was found, and remember:

they merge? where'd you find that out? I don't remember hearing about it.

No one says that they merge. The SETS merge, but maybe not the characters.
I do belive haldirofthegoldenwood BUT if they merge it may be that makuta forces him to do so.By tretening him in some way like capturing the other toa and trethens to kill them if the ToL dosent merge whit him. PS:sory fore wrong spelling.

Amen! But that was kinda, just kinda off topic...But does anyone agree with me? It all makes sense, to me (see location).
The TOL will not merge with Makuta. If he does so Mata Nui will get destroyed and the Bionicle will end.

I wonder, when light meets bdarkness, they cancel one another out, is it the same when merged?
i think makuta decives the TOL and then they merge, and by accident the TOL vanquishes Makuta in the as they merge
