Okay, a theory should be based on facts, so here are the facts:

The Matoran will make a change in body type.
They will have already made that change by May (when the MNOLG 2 comes out)
It is suspected that there is danger in the use of the Vahi, which is about to be used.

And putting all these facts together, I believe that Vahi will be the cause of the change. But now I have a few more facts to state:

The Matoran are living things.
Living things supposedly evolve.
Vahi speeds the time around a given target.

And putting these facts together, my theory is that the Vahi will somehow superspeed the time around Matoran, causing them to evolve very quickly into their new body forms.

So there you have it. Coments? Suggestions? I want to know what you guys think.

Sorry... the only reason McToran were smaller is because of a piece count limit of 10. The Matoran were originally the 2003 way. Now why Nuparu was built old-style beats me...

The vahi slows time. Altough it may be able to speed it up outside of returning time to normal, WHY WOULD TAHU ACCELERATE TIME? He was using the vahi so he could beat the kal to their destination. The matoran bulked up in the story by an unknown means shared by the turaga, but this actually was the original design, as gailsad said.

Correction. The Vahi can do both.

Anyways, they build themselves up due to the fact that the Turga want the to be faster, stronger (and cooler looking cool.gif ).

I think you guys are missing the point. I know why the Matoran in McDonalds were small. But now that LEGO wants to use the new ones, GREG F said that there would be a storyline based reason. That is my theory on what it will be.

(Why are my theories always misunderstood?)

They build themselves up? blink.gif Well, I've never thought this before, but, then they are robots!!!

On Topic: Nice theory, but I'm sure if it's true or not.
Dicrea PR guy
yes gregF has said that the Turaga revealed a secret to the matoran about how to modify there bodys...
Timekeeper
well greg said:

matoran change their names at special ceremonies if they do something gret
which probably happens befor
the kal were so close to victory,so the turaga shareda seret to the matoran:a way to'build them selves up'
pur theory was good and i understood that, but it is not correct.

it doesn't have to be true! that's why it's a theorie!
anyway this makes alot of sense, and cud verywell be true.

Good theory, but like Gailsad said the old matoran were small due to piece limit. I think Greg said that the year of 2004 0r 2005 woould mostly be about the turaga telling them(Matoran) the secerts to pump themselves(Matoran) up and Puku!
