What if Tahnok-kal tore Tahu Nuva's arm could he put it back on? I mean they are robots.

maybe, because the matoran can "rebuild" themselves, the toa can "fix" themselves too

well they aren't ROBOTS. they are biomechanical beings. thats how they think on there own and have all those nice powers and stuff. as for your question i'm pretty sure they could since they destroy themselves to become Kaita and when they first arrived they were in peices.

I dunno. I think they are like humans in that aspect. I mean, if WE get OUR arms torn off, then what happens (yes, I did get a Wookie angry when I was young)? We sometimes die, but CAN get them sown back on.

I think of it this way, come on this is LEGO, this is a kid's toy they aren't gonn have tahu get his appendages ripped off!
But if it was torn off I doubt he could place it back on, but he could probably get a prosthenic.

I don't think their limbs can be removed until they're willing for them to be, IE in the case of becoming a Kaita.
Interesting question...

Are you saying that if Onua grabbed one of Tahu's hands, and Pohatu the other, Tahu wouldn't rip in two?!
They could probably will their parts apart and back on, (Kaita, canister assembling, etc.) but you could forcefully pull parts off.

I don't know - 'Twas a quick answer when I thought of it, don't make me back it up.
... In which case, maybe their limbs can be removed unwillingly, though I doubt they ever will be.
And since they will never be removed, this discussion is all academic anyway.

Well first Tahus arms would rip off and there would be quite, alot of pain, then if they can put together willingly when their defeated i guess they can build willingly.Yes he would use his Hau.

I think they can be pulled apart and reassembled. But as GregF once said, "The story team isn't big on dismemberment." So I doubt we will ever see that in the official storyline.
In one of my comedies Gali takes Lewa apart and randomly rearranges his limbs.

But he had it coming...

They MUST be able to do that, because if they lose an arm, they are half capable to fight, and thus,in greater peril....
