I have a thing for Kohrak Kal. Let's just get that over with. But something that has intruiged me as of late, is the type of sound that Kohark Kal uses. This may sound very silly, but if you think about it, it makes sense. In the mini-comic that came with the Kal's, it depicts Kohark Kal's power as a sort of humming energy that destroys things. but if you do the research, you will discover that any sound that is capable of destroying things cannot be heard by human ears, and so far the inhabitants of Mata Nui don't seem to have greater than human hearing. The variety of sounds that can destroy things is either
infrasound (below human hearing, very dangerous) or
ultrasound (above human hearing, also very dangerous). Now could someone (preferably a cartoonist working on these comics) please clear up this matter? Man that was a wordy one...

super sonic sound. wow thats a tongue twister. but its the best i can think of. who knows maybe its a type of sound that isn't real on our plane of existance. i mean Nuhvok Kal can control GRAVITY for cryin out loud. who knows. i mean if masks of power existed i'd be gettin my hands on one real quick.

We are not certain what frequencies Matoran, Toa, Turaga, etc., can or cannot hear at this point in time. Thus, they may be able to hear very high or low pitched sounds. We don't know.
------------
I would believe that since Kohrak Kal has complete mastery over sound waves, it seems to me that he could produce either ultrasound or infrasound waves at will. I think that also Kohrak Kal would be able to sense the resonant frequency of any given object, in order to shatter it.
So basically, Kohrak Kal can adjust sound waves to what it needs to complete its purpose.

Things to high for humans to hear aren't always dangerous. My cat can here things above humans, as can dolphins and bats. I've never heard of infrasound before. It doesn't sound that dangerous, because its frequency is so low that it can't split things apart. anyway, Kohrak-Kal can make hearing sound and Sonic sound, that breaks things.

Best explanation so far, and the one I put my backing behind.
... And perhaps the multiple 'things' on his Handshields allow him to send out more than one frequency at any one time, cutting the time it takes to discover the necessary frequency.

it could be a high pitch sound, so high it can shatter things , but also hearable for the Toa N. to have pain..

I heard somewhere that if you move between two ultrisonic sounds fast enough, it could split things.

Infrasound doesn't seem dangerous, but it is!Ultrasounds smash things, and infrasounds make structures and shields out of it!
