This is my theory:Vakama had the Vahi, right?and what is the color of his mask;orange, then, maybe Vakama can use the Vahi,is HE´S mask, not Tahu mask, but, why Tahu can use it?(is like Onua wearing a blue hau).please post.

I have no idea. But, you have to admit, it looks better orange than any other color!

well, that depends, we'rejust used to it being orange, if it started out being blue, then we'd think an orange vahi would be odd, and i don't think that is it, i think that it's like the CMoV, it's a special mask that can be worn by anyone

I'm thinking... because everything seems to be conveinently good for Tahu. Orange is one of Tahu's colors.

Or maybe orange was the first color in the injection-molder when Lego started producing the Vahi. Ya never know.
Nataku Nuva
Sorry to put a damper on your little plan here, TROF. But the Vahi's orange and Vakama's orange are two different colors. Vakam's is a dry orange and the Vahi is a vibrant orange. I know because i have the vahi and have seen vakama's mask. As for it being anyones mask, its not. Vakama didn't just say, "I own the Vahi" and boom. Nor did he have it from the beginning. He FOUND it, and since Tahu is Ta-Koro's toa and Vakama is Ta-koro's turaga, its kinda obvious why Tahu got it. I mean Vakama isn't really in shape to protect a village.

OK. Here's what's I think: Vahi isn't a normal Kanohi. It's special. So, it won't change colour.

Also, regular Kanohi are Photodermis grey, and they can change colour.(But how and why, I'm not sure)

I think that the vahi is orange because it goes with Tahus colour.
Kalta keeper of facts
i say vahi might be some whole 7th (or 8th if you count taka nuva) sun toa and orange was the basic mask color .(like tahu's mask is red, gali's mask is blue)

beware the kal, fear the KALlecter happy_tahnok_kal.gif

Well, there is only one vahi right? The color mathes with Vakama. I'm not sure though. unsure.gif

Not sure, but it's true that it matches Tahu, My thought's is that the Vahi was tied in with the Computer game, but since that was never released we'll never know the REAL story of the Vahi
Toa Iruini
In the Greg topic this was answered awhile ago. He said to show its uniqueness, power, and the fact that any Toa Nuva can use it. vahi.gif
Huta
The Vahi is orange since it's not any one toa's mask. If Tahu takes off his Hau, it would turn grey, but the vahi stays orange. It has nothing to do with Vakama.

And Tahu found it, not Vakama. Tahu gave it to Vakama, to keep it safe.

rtfm.gif get this,i think why the vahi is orange and not proto-gray is because the vahi's a lost kanohi. the other kanohi are dormant until somebody waers it,so the other kanohi are not gray, but colorless.and i think i know who owns the vahi.the spirit mata-nui himself.think about it. the toa nead there masks for the the powers they posses.like in issue #2 of bionicle comics, the 2nd to last page you saw lewa in the trees with a nui-rama in back of him ,then smacks lewa in the back ,he loses his mask along with it's power, and then falls down to kane-ra.now lewa's helpless.
so when makuta put mata-nui asleep, why coulden't mata-nui get out of the spell's way ?he was helpless.if mata-nui had the vahi on ,ha can slow time, get out of the spell's way and end makuta's evil ways.but makuta knocked mata-nui's vahi off then did the spell ,put him to sleep and caused trouble.then later, later after vakama was born(or built?) he found the vahi and did the 'finder's keeper's' thing.then much, much later when the kal came and did what they did in issue #11,vakama gave it to tahu nuva as a gift on the toas' quest thinking the vahi might be usefull .(and it has)so that's why the vahi's orange.
