during the battle with makuta makuta doesn't seem to be hurt at all and yet I am told he is recovering for the next battle....Recovering from what? I admit he left his multiple peice body but he is a spirit and could have just un possed the peices to make the toa think he was hurt this way he could grow stronger so as to wipe the toa off the face of the planet....

If you were defated by six little pipsqueaks, what would you have to recover? Your pride, probably. That's my explanation.

Seeing as how being in a Matoran body probably limited his powers, and the Toa overcame them, he decided to regroup his pieces into the latest Makuta set.

That's a much more worthy vessel for his power.

who said he was defeated? hum? if I remeber correctly with the raise of his hand (weelll figuratively) he banished them from his lair! poof your gone... not to mention I just came across this!

It means something, for lack of a better word, teleported them out of Makuta's chamber.

But we don't know what.

I still think that makuta tested them saw their strengths weaknesses and then transported them out so he could make the rashki..or what ever his devious plot intailed...

Doing all that neat whirling around of pieces, and creating those shadowy tendrils that the Toa fought, takes a lot of energy. When it didn't prove to be enough, Makuta needed to a) rest and replenish his energy and come up with a better plan. Knowing he could stall the Toa with the Bohrok, he used the time to reassess how powerful the Toa really were and plan.

Thanks GregF. And I always thought that Makuta was just to proud and never even really thought that the Toa would get near him. So he used a little bit of power and got defeated. And I think that he was thinking of a plan while he let the Toa deal with the Bohrok. When he saw what the Protodermis did to the Toa he plunged six Kraata into it and got the Rahkshi. That is my theory though.

He needed to recharge himself. I'm sure they'll beat him this time for sure.
