I personally think that Takanuva's staff is just that; a staff. Takanuva is not a Toa Nuva, and only the Toa Nuva's weapons can change modes.

Maybe nothing. It is a staff with a scythe. I don't think it has a transportation mode. He isn't a Nuva after all.

Because Takanuva is a Toa Olda (yes, he's an Olda, despite the Nuva armor...), it doesn't transform into ANYTHING. Unless you count a walking stick... Or turn it upside-down and make it some kind of skinny shovel...

Wrong. He isn't a Olda either. GregF said that he was neither. He is just described as a Warrior.
