Why are the Toa's enemies named after them? (this is about the Bohrok, and Rahkshi excluding Vorahk.) It doesn't make any sense. Do you think it's because it's the element (i.e. Ta means Fire in Matanuian) or another reason? Was it for shorter Bionicle fans to have an easier time understanding? Or another reason?
EDIT: I know there is no such thing as a Thetoa. It was meant to be "the toa's."

You mean like Lehvak-Lewa-Lehrahk? It may be so it's easier for people to understand where an enemy comes from.

Because Lego can't get anyone with a very good imagination. Vorahk, for Onua... one change in the name. Whoopie. It's probably since they want to make it clear who fights who...

Remember, this is for a young age. Younger kids may have trouble remebering who fights who.

It's not really who faces who. It's more like who comes from where. And with Bionicle it's a prefix for a certain color and sometimes element (Gali, Gahlok, Guurahk). Remember the toa don't always battle their corresponding color enemy.

well heres an example,on Mata Nui if the name begins with "Ta" it probley means fire,so since there is a fire bohrok, and rahkshi the both begin with "Ta" so you dont get mixxed up with all of them

Becuase the foes are like the toas twins. Like me vs drak me.
So they make the foes have similar names.

This is true. If you heard of TA-hu nad then you heard TAH-nok wouldnt you think they came form the same place or at least related some how? I mean you wouldnt think that LE-rahk came form the same place as ON-ua.
(sorry to sound a little mad - dont know why im like that today

Who knows? Will having similar names hurt the story at all? No! It makes it easier to understand!

Do any of you have better names?
That's just the way it played out. It makes the names easier to remember, and who has what element. As was already said, BIONICLE is targetted at a younger audience. My little cousin still says red guy/blue guy and so on.

Maybe because the region they come from hit their's first?

(I am ABSOLUTELY making no sense, am I?)

I think that makes more sense. Several people mentioned that Ta means fire and so on. One thing I don't understand is, Lewa is Toa of air, while Lehvak is of jungle. So what would Le mean? The others are pretty obvious.

Well, for one thing, it's Bohrok of Swamp. The prefixes may relate to color, in that case.
