I have proof that there is not just mechanical beings on Mata Nui! If any of you have the old Bionicle CD, y'know, the one that came with the toa. Well, if you go to the section where it shows the preview for the old Bionicle Game, a small bird flys down and lands on the toa canister. It is NOT mechanical. Maybe it flew in from some other island? Ideas?

Ermm ... could be a possibility. Though you have no clear shot of the bird ....
I'm just wonder if there are any technaligical things on there.

Uh the Toa aren't robots but I always knew there was organic life on Mata-Nui.

Actually, I think the bird sounds metallic when it lands... anyway, I think that this might be truth... there have been theorys of other Islands, too. Of course, the Bird might be a mistake... and besides, the Le-Koro Trees are made of wood, not metal, so there still is organic life on Mata-Nui.

The only reason the bird sounds metallic when it lands is because the canister is metal. I think this bird was probably a mistake. That was a real early video and we can't trust it completely. That was probably before lego set up the whole "mechanical yet biological" sense in the story.
And Future Hope is right about the trees. They have always been organic.

Yes: All plants on the island are organic, and fungi, and bacteria... not to mention Kraata and Krana. I wonder, though, if organic birds exist on the island, like in the video...

I noticed that too. Kinda odd for a machine land huh?
P.S. I'm a seeker!!!

GregF has said that there are no organic (in a traditional sense) life forms on Mata-Nui, except for the plants. If you remember, he also has said that a lot of the old ideas from the very beginning of Bionicle (such as the Toa having different ages) have since been cut. This movie clip is from the first Bionicle PC game, which was being made during the earliest days of Bionicle, right when it was starting. Therefore, not everything about the Bionicle universe had been set in stone yet.
Simply put: it's a mistake.

i agree with Future Hope and Rahi Zaku.

also wouldnt it kinda ruin the story if there were " organic " beings come to mata-nui? like you know with skin and blood and stuff? with " robots "? i dunno.

this is kind-of confusing!

but 2 move on,organic life on mata-nui would be kindof weird.me & boy standing alone had a small debate about this ''organic''thingie.

I PM'd Greg F, and just got a reply:
It is possible that there is some completely organic life on Mata Nui.. however, most of what is there is biomechanical, only partially organic.
Greg
This might clear some stuff up.

Yeah, I remember that bird. I also think it was probably a mistake, but I wish it wasn't, 'cuz that bird looked cool!
I would like to add that in the Comic where Pohatu and Onua fooled the Tahnok Kal and Pohatu kicked that ball at it, there are organic-looking shells and a starfish on the beach near them.
That's interesting, TakaNuva Vahi Master, that's not what he said before.

Have you posted that in the Official Greg Discussion Topic? I was surprised when he said there weren't any, because of the starfish, etc.
