the nuva masks say its gives of powers to those around it. does this mean that matoran can use it. also
if your standing close to the suva do you get all the powers?
this really isnt a theory just something to think about.

No, they can't, the matoran are to weak to use the powers.

The Toa Nuva could probably allow the Matoran to use the power if they're nearby, but I doubt it.
And when Kanohi are in the Suva, they're not active, so no-one can use them.

the nuva could probably sort of point at them and they could levitate or whatever

Possibly, and who says they are too weak? Just because they are weak ain't mean they can't use masks! I am leaning on yes.

It does, actually - The Matoran cannot activate the Great or Noble masks.

I would think it would work. I mean, why wouldn't it? The powers aren't that extreme for them not to be able to be used by a Matoran.

It sounds like it could happen. The toa could lend their powers to rahkshi if they wanted to.

It says it lends its powers to all around it, so why wouldnt that include the matoran?

... because they don't have the capability to use Great Masks.
I'm sure it'd work with the Hau, and the Miru... The rest, it just doesn't seem right.
But if one works, they all must work...
Bah. Probably would work, then.

They probably can give power to anyone the toa want. But lets go beyond Matoran: what about Rahi-bohrok- even Rahkshi?

I'm pretty sure that the Nuva masks' powers can be shared with anyone the Toa wishes to. The descriptions do say "those close by," not "the other Toa." As far as Rahi, Rahkshi, etc., the masks are capable of following the wishes of the wearer. They would not extend their powers to the wearer's enemy. In the special edition of comic #8, Onua says "I share the power of the Mask of Strength with you!" indicating that sharing Nuva powers is a conscious decision.
For those who don't have the special edition comic, the extra pages can be seen in GaliGee's Brickshelf,

heres an idea about the pakari nuva. say it would increase your stregth by 500%. therefore it would work on matoran but since they are naturaly weaker their increased strength would also be weaker than a toa

No, GregF said the matoran would be too weak to use great, or even noble masks.

When it says they lend powers to those around it means just the other Toa Nuva. Like Lord Lupus said the matoran cannot use great masks.

Even though the matoran aren't capable of activating the great or noble masks the toa nuva could still use the powers on the matoran since the toa are using the powers and the matoran are therefore not activating the masks. It's actually more like the toa are making the matoran use the powers.
