unleashe the bohrok, bohrok, and rahkshi at the same time???
Master of the Rahkshi
Welcome to BZP, Lerahk the killer.

Anyways, Makuta didn't have enough energy to release them both. That's why he released the Bohrok, so that he would have time to recooperate and get enough power back so that he could shapeshift.
Besides, he probably thought that the Bohrok could take care of the Toa.

And because it takes time for a kraata to transform into a Rahkshi. Months. Maybe he only put them into protodermis right after he retreated deeper into Mangaia.

And do you mean the Bohrok-Kal? They would only be released if something happened to the Bahrag, like if they were imprisoned (so they could free them), or if the Bahrag were destroyed (so that the Kal could take control of the swarms).

I agree with you. I think Makuta thought the Bohrok would destroy the Toa.

This should go to S&T.

Alright, here I go:
Makuta unleashed the Bohrok to distract the Turaga/Toa of his presence while he recuuperated from his earlier bout with the Toa. The Toa were busy fighting the Bohrok while Makuta's spirit was morphing back into a physical body. When the Bahrag were defeated, the Bohrok Kal attamaticly were set loose, Makuta didn't know about them. Finally, Makuta regained a physical form and started to morph 6 Kraata into his sons, the Rahkshi.

As seen above, he couldn't have "unleashed" them all at the same time, the Rahkshi needed to be morphed and the Bohrok Kal were unknown to him.

makuta might have released the bohrok but he has absolutly no control over them

what i am wondering is why he didn't just use the rahkshi and show his true form (if the set is his true form) when the toa were their origional forms

The reason is because they probably weren't formed yet.
And Makuta doesn't have a "true" form. He's a shapeshifter, he can have any form he chooses. It's just that it takes a fair amount of energy for him to change forms. And I don't think that he wanted to be too weak to fight the Toa, do you?

Apollo
Personally I think that the Bohrok swarms were Makuta's back up plan. When he first battled with the Toa he undersestimated them, leading to his defeat, but he wasn't entirely stupid. He somehow made sure that Takua would be down there with the Toa and awaken the swarms as written in the prophecies. He did this to allow himself more time to recuperate and have a more organized plan of attack. And like Polo X said, Makuta may not have known about the Kal-because they, in turn, were the Bahrag's second line of defence. Makuta made the Rahkshi while in hiding, but as we already know the Kraata themselves have been around a heck of a lot longer (hundreds of years). Hope this helps you understand a little... smile.gif

Sigh...
For the twenty-fifth time, Apollo, Takua didn't wake the Swarms, Makuta did.

Lupus Black
Makuta woke the Bohrok early to buy time to recuperate and create the Rahkshi.

As for why Makuta didn't use the Rahkshi in the first place, or battle them in his current form, the answer is one word: Pride.

Makuta thought the Rahi would take care of the Toa. He was wrong.
Makuta thought the Manas would take care of the Toa. He was wrong.
Makuta thought the Toa could never better him. He was wrong.

... And so on.

I strongely agree Lord Lupus, that's exactly what i was going to put

Ithink the rocks around makuta in the prophesy were the rahkshi not the rahi.

I agree, Takua only witnessed the Bohrok Swarms awakening, not caused it. Sorry about the typing errors earlier. wink.gif

hello makuta isnt in charged in borohks and b-kal im sorry if i sound mean
MagnumKaita637
he could only releash the bohrok and wait for the kal to come out he didn't actually control all of those. and he needed time to put the kraata through all the stages leading up to rahkshi.

I agree. The bahrag are just mercenaries-distractions, while Makuta regains his essence. He would have made the Rahkshi attack with the Rahi, but the Toa defeated him, so the Rahi were lost and the Rahkshi creation was stalled. So the Bahrag were hired. If there were no Bohrok, the Toa would realize that Makuta was regaining strength, and they would defeat him easily. Therefore, he needed the Bahrag.
Exo-Toa of Plastic
He wanted to, but Lego wouldn't let him.
Just kidding, I think there were three reasons for the successive enemies:
1. Makuta underestimated the Toa.
2. Makuta needed time to build his strength back up.
3. Makuta needed time for the Rahkshi to grow.

Yeah. Makuta thought that the Toa were weak enough for him to defeat, so he didnt use the rahkshi at first. He wasn't counting on the fact that the Toa would realise that their unity was their strength. He probably only realised that Kraata turned into Rahkshi when he saw the Toa become Nuva and knew then that Protodermis transformed things .

Hey, did you ever think maybe Makuta DID control the Bohrok, In second person. Maybe the Bahrag were advanced Rahi....?!

No, Makuta always knew that, and so did the Turaga.

And scorpyin, the Bahrag are not Rahi, seeing as they were around before even Mata Nui came, and Makuta did not control the swarms in any way, period.

-Master of the Rahkshi
˜corpyin
Yeah but in a comic (I think, either that or a episode on bionicle.com) Makuta said "I have realeased the Rahi and the Bohrok.... bla bla bla". So he HAD to have some kind of control over the Bohrok.
Exo-Toa of Plastic
Actually, he said that he "unleashed" the swarms. "Unleash" simply means to let something go. He unleashed them upon Mata Nui, but he didn't have any control over them. Something like taking a dog who has no training off a leash.
