Good topic, B3. I say it's so he isn't identified with any single Koro, because he's a loner. Yet, Kopeke has d. grey on him, but he's from Ko Koro. Color is not the only factor. At the renaming, I guess he just got/wanted more blue.

Well, I'd say that he was born to be special, thus had diffrent colors. Think about it, he is the chronicler, he's unique. Also, I think his mask is blue because he's an outcast.

Where did you here that Takua got his mask from a Nui-jaga?That is false.He is different because he is an outcast and is special.Look at him,he traveled the island,witnessed the defeat of makuta and the awakening of the bohrok.He just happens to be different.Leave it at that.

Here's my take on Takua. When he was exiled from Ta-Koro, he was given a new mask to distinguish him from those who belonged in Ta-Koro. When the Matoran built themselves up, Takua decided to change his coloration to match his mask.

I agree with Toa of Plastic. He's an outcast. He didn't belong to Ta-Koro until Makuta's first defeat. Before that, He was exiled, His mask being a sign that he did not belong to Ta-Koro. Later, when he was a true villager, he didn't bother changing; everyone knew him well.

But then why are his feet and hands blue in his 2003 form?

It's destiny - Even though he's from Ta-Koro, his blueness differentiates him from the rest of the Ta-Koronans.

It just makes it easier for us to tell he's special.

I agree with Lord Lupus. If he had gotten it changed to yellow, or orange, or even all red, people would still know who he is, and would just stare at him more for changing back, and they would think he's trying to fade into the background. (Here's a theory...he met a ga-matoran he liked and decided to change his feet and hands to blue to attract her attention? )

It's probably just so that he isn't confused with anyone else. It sort of shows everyone that he's not your everyday Matoran.

He is just that way to distinguish him as a matoran with a special role. It has nothing to do with his leaving Ta-Koro (I don't see where people get that he was ofrced to leave, he left voluntarily just so you know).

Because LEGO got lazy and decided to just make him TWO colors like all the other Matoran instead of three.

GregF said that when he entered his 2003 form he changed half blue as a result of the change! So that answers that question! But he was not exiled, GregF said he volenteerely left Ta-Koro, which is why he is considered an outcast. Alot of people think he doesn't have unity or duty. And you have to have that on mata-nui!

Master of all the Rahkshi is right. GregF said that the hands and feet are a result of his transformation. and he is an outcast so that is why he has a blue mask. He belongs to no single village. he is free to come and go as he pleases unlik anyone else.

he is an outcast, a loner, a chronacllist. not much is known about him or where he came from, he just woke up on the beach one day and found onepu telling him that turaga whenua was kidnapped. maybe we will find out more about him next year

Each Tohunga has two colors. For example, Hahli is dar and light blue. It's just Takua's looks a bit wierd on him. Thats all. Don't worry. Nothing happened to him.
