Um... Sorry for asking, But what purpose does this topic serve? Reporting.

Actually, Makuta isn't exactly evil. He's just mistaken. He thinks that what he's doing is good. Scary, isn't it?
And the Bahrag are good too. And the Bohrok-Kal. And the kraata just follows Makuta's orders, so they aren't neccesarily evil either.

My theory is that actually, he wasn't evil at first, but he descended with his brother, probably to help him. Then he noticed that everyone was worshipping Mata-Nui, and he wanted power. He was jealous, and he wanted the islanders to worship him. When they didn't, he went into a rage and sent Mata-Nui into a sleep, created an army of evil monsters, and nearly sent the Matorans into extinction, so the Great Beings decided to create and send the Toa to put a stop to Makuta's power struggle.

It'd be too confusing to themyoung kids if Makuta wasn't actually evil.

He's jealous of Mata-Nui, hence he's now evil.

Ok I have a few theories,

1. well in stories theres usually 2 brothers and most of the time one is good and one is evil.

2.I just thought he spent too much time in the dark.

3. The toa/toa nuva would have no one to battle and what good are comics when there are no one to fight.

There's no theroies to discuss. You can find it in almost all pomotional CDs and even bios of the Bionicle characters. Makuta was jealous of his brother, so he put him in a ddep sleep and he wants to destroy the island and its inhabitants.

It's the jealousy...he was jealous of his brother, so he is now bent on having chaos consume the island.

There is many reasons why Makuta could be mad...

1. He woke up on the wrong side of the bed, and hasn't recovered from it.

2. He couldn't find his teddy bear.

Now onto the serious stuff.
1. Mata-Nui was worshipped by the tohunga, they didn't worship Makuta

2. Bionicle needed a bad guy, its not like he needs a motive.

3. And hey if you looked like Makuta and no one wanted to be your friend, wouldn't you be a bit ticked?

Yeah, kinda like Lucifer/Satan. He was the most beautiful of angels until he became jealous of God and thought he could rule better. Hence he was sent to heck and and he rules evil now. Simple. But Makuuta, I think that he was EXTREMELY jealous, hence he turned phsyco. Remember, he thinks he doin' good. *BIG RASPBERRY* Oh, and he doesn't want to destroy mata-nui, he just wants it's inhabitants to worship him. If they don't, he puts them through heck (no, I didn't cous, I REALLY said heck), like he is right NOW!

Ah, but there's no such thing as an evil person, just insane people. There are only evil ACTIONS. He thinks he's good. We all do. But we still do evil actions...

Ok.......this plot of Makuta being evil/good is totally confusing,here are reasons
1.Makuta is possibly corrupted by jealousy,anger,greed,etc.
2.Makuta could be good
3.Lego might make a suprise twist by revealing Makuta is good and Mata-nui is evil(can you say"Luke,I am your father!)
