*Starts talking in deep booming voice* "The Toa defeated the Rahkshi, only for a new threat to arise.. The Rahkshi-Kal! Even more powerful than their other brothers, the Rahkshi-Kal are the Toa Nuva's most dangerous foe yet (until Lego comes up with something else to make more money)! Can the Toa Nuva possibly stop them after barely defeating the normal Rahkshi?"
Okay, so that may have been a bit over the top, but seriously, I don't know what Lego's got in the hat this time. They can't keep making them fight Makuta's minions forever. And that brings another question: when is Bionicle over? Because in the mean time, it's going to get more repetitive because Lego's not so worried about selling it. They know we love Bionicle, so they think we'll just buy it, even if the plot is getting stale. Well, they don't know me. When the Bohrok-Kal came out, I saw they were just recolored. So guess what? I don't have them to this day. Now I bought the Rahkshi because they weren't so repetitive looking, but I'm starting to get worried about Bionicle's originality...

It's easy for lego to build coo looking things with fewer smal looking pieces and since they can't sell one 8 toy because it's too little of a profit they make 6 with slight modifications and different colors. With any storyline it well get repeteive but think Bionicvle hasn't done much yet. So next lego makes a plot they need to actually think this time and a good plot well arise.

Yeah, I know what's happened to the plot
! But if 2004 is the start of another 'book' (which it is), I very much doubt that they'll have Rahkshi-Kal or something. LEGO must KNOW how repetitive it's getting!

I agree. The Bohrok Kal were definitely repetative. I wouldn't have bought any if I already had all the Bohrok. I bought three Bohrok Kal so I had 1 of each kind of Bohrok. But I certainly WASN'T willing to get all of them. Neither was I willing to have 12 Bohrok on my shelf. The storyline was OK though, but not great.
But Something tells me that this will not work again for lego. There was enough uproar about the repetitiveness of the Bohrok Kal but if lego pulls it again with the Rahkshi (or any future villain) there will be twice as many mad fans. You don't want to get the fans mad twice.

Guys, guys, they're NOT going to do that. They've got something WICKED up there sleeves, I know it... The Bohrok-Kal were just fillers, so they wouldn't have to jump immediatly to the cool villians. Just be patient, we'll get something good...

Absolutely. Greg said they were going in another direction with Bionicle, so don't fret. This was the trial book, but the next ones will have a much more engaging story. Next year, we travel to the past, and what awaits us there? Only time will tell...

From what I've heard, the reason that the Rahkshi and the other 2003 sets came out so much earlier than expected is because the Bohrok Kal didn't sell as well as they expected. So I'm sure that Lego won't just give us some Rahkshi Ultima trash after the Bohrok Kal experience. The reason they did the Power of Silver promotion is so they could increase sales and hype.
Also, after becoming slightly downcast from the bohrok Kal, when I got the Rahkshi is was reassured. Surely LEGO will continue to create awesome products like the Rahkshi from now on, and if they give us some pathetic replica again, boycott them.

Okay. *Looks slightly relieved* I'll just bite my tongue and wait. (I won't litterally bite my tongue! Ouch!) And guys, I didn't mean to post two topics either. It was a mistake. The first time I did it, it said something about 'bad syntax', so it restarted making two topics.

And if you don't believe me, just hover your mouse over both the topics and you'll see they were posted at the same time.

It would get a little bit boring if every enemy had a kal version of themselves! I don't thin the rahkshi will go down that road!

*Sigh* Personally, I liked the Kal storyline. I mean, I respect that you guys don't like the Kal, but no matter what story anyone comes up with that is planned for a long period of time, it is going to get repetitive. Just look at Marvel and the Infinity stuff they spit out: Infinity Gauntlet, Infinity War, Infinity Crusade, and Infinity Abyss. Same with Superman, or any other character that has been around for decades. I mean, Lego can't just switch from one enemy to the next really quickly. Pretty soon you run out of enemies that get "bigger and badder". Lego will come up with new places and new enemies, but you can't except it to be brand spanking new every time. Sometimes it will be, and some times it won't. I'm sure lego won't force you to buy their products.

If Lego does that, I will quit Bionicle forever.
Neh, I wouldn't.

I personaly believe instead of us having to buy a whole bunch of pieces they should sell kits with only the pieces we need! I'm not willing to buy 6 more bohrok! (okay, i bought two)

Bionicle#1 is right, the Kal were pretty cool. Their story was a bit rushed and odd, but it
was just filler so the Rahkshi wouldn't be released six months ahead of the MoL movie. The silver pieces, different-colored old pieces, and new handshields weregood MOC pieces, and the WMKK/SSKK/VMKK/GPKK are neat misprints (although most people won't have a chance of getting one). I don't mind a couple more repetitve villans/heroes, but only if the characters stop being so alike. The Bohrok - all that differed the Tahnok from the Pahrak were their colors and hands. Same with the Rahkshi (although their awesome design kinda makes up for it). Besides, you can always invent your own storyline, like [shameless-advertising] my Epic,
Makuta's Return, Part One [/shameless-advertising].

Am I the only one to realize the nuva and kal were part of Lego's evil of world domination in the toy market? They made the bionicle sets so repetitive so that when the movies and Brand new big sets come out, they can reel in old and news fans by the thousands.

So without further ado, topic closed.
