Remeber that hot topic "for years" that talked about the theories on what comic 13 ment when at the start Makuta was talking about how for years the toa had thought he was defeated but the other sagas didn't last that long. My theory was that there was time inbetween the sagas; so if you agree with me post what you think the toa were doing in that time.

Probably just resting, healing, watching Kohlii tounaments that sort of stuff.
P.S. How do you know the sagas didn't last years?

I agree. I mean, who's to say we saw all the story?
The Bohrok may've done nothing for a few months, giving the Toa time to recuperate and formulate plans. We don't know exactly how long anything happens.
We just see how the story goes, in a dynamic comic-style.

Well there was absolutely no time between the Makuta and the Bohrok Saga. Remember Comic #4?? They just telported back to the surface and they can already hear the Bohrok's destruction. But af the end of Comic #12 It said something about them having a long time of peace. But I don't think it would be years. Maybe the War against the Bohrok was much longer than we thought? Anyway I would think that during the time between the Kal saga and the MOL they would:
first help repair all damage done by the Bohrok and Kal
attend Kohlii matches and different tournaments (if there are any others)
Spend time just being out in their own enviorment.
I don't know what else.

Maybe not that long but they did rest and repair all those sunken lilypads and rocks .

That kinda puts up another question about time!
Do the toa move a super fast speeds because their time goes faster than ours.
Anyway it may have been years because we did not see between the online flash and comics, so it could have been quite a while!

Maybe a few years have passed since the final showdown with the Bohrok-Kal. They had to repair villages, the Kolhii Tournament was announced, the Matoran transformation, the naming ceremony, the construction of the Wall of History in Ta-Koro, the discovery of the Mask of Light, all of this can't have happened in one year. But they probably had to repair the villages mostly:
Kohrak-Kal must have shattred the ice in Ko-Koro, the Ga-Matoran had to rebuild the Gali waterfall+rebuild the entire village after the Pahrak seige. And so on.

That is a very interesting thought.
I don't think there was much time between the Kal and the Rahkshi. After all, they appeared in the comic together. Same with the Makuta to Bohrok time period-Takua discovered the Bohrok pods immediately after the battle with Makuta.
My belief: The time covered from the very first comic/online update to now actually covered the same amount of time in real life to the story time.

Hmmm, good question. As Greg F said, their understanding of time is different than ours. so it may have been "years", their time, since the first comic. It has however been two years since comic 3 which marked the begginning of their battle with Makuta. Maybe he meant two years. Its all very confusing.

i guess they would have to repair the damage of the Bohrak. i thought they might go on vacations on different parts of the island but now that i think of it the toa don't seem like the people who would go on vacations.

*Digs out Comic 12*
Okay. Toward the end of Comic 12:
All Our Powers Against Us, the captions read:
| QUOTE |
| The Toa Nuva have time to think, to rest, and to heal, for the next few weeks are peaceful ones. Many days are spent in training, repairing Koro defenses, and attending Matoran competitions. |
(Boldface added.)
This reference is, obviously, from the Toa's frame of reference, and makes it clear that only a few weeks transpired between the defeat of the Bohrok-Kal and the arrival of the Rahkshi.
However, it has been speculated (most notably, by GregF himself) that the time it takes the storyline to progress in the Bionicle universe does not correspond to its release by LEGO. This almost certainly explains the discrepancy between Makuta's reference to the Toa having believed him defeated "For years" and the fact that we learned of his defeat only two years ago.
