Yeah like Omicron said turaga tought them how to build themselves stronger. Because if not don't you think they would have had dumped themselves a few more time to get more powerful.

yEP, THE Matoran rebuilt themselves now that they had the power after they had peace (No more Rahi, Bohrok, or Kal!) and G. F. hinted protodermus was involved. But if they took a swim like the Toa- I wouldn't think they'd look like they did.
