After you win the first MNOLG, when Vakama is talking to Takua, he says Takua found his mask and staff, along with fulfilling the mission of all the Turaga. So, what if Takua had been Takanuva and the mission of the Turaga was to find out why Makuta had put Mata Nui to sleep? Then, as Takanuva, he helped them and they all willingly went into their Turaga forms? Takanuva could have resisted being changed, so Makuta had to wipe his memory of it, while the Turaga fully remembered because they went willingly? Then, they all go to the island of Mata Nui and Takua, after pulling a Toa and putting himself together, found Vakama, Takua having the items because they came with him, Makuta knowing that Takua would find a maskless and staffless Vakama, who was still in Toa form? Then, Vakama puts the mask kon and becomes a Turaga. Makuta knows the other Matoran would label Takua as an outcast, but the Toa Saga would make him a hero, everyone befriend him, and then lead to the Bohrok Saga? Just thought of that.
