Sure Makuta enslaved the people of Mata Nui... But the Toa defeated him but the darkness still comes... What If the Toa hadn't come? The Bohrok and Rahkshi wouldn't have come either. So by eliminating one threat the brought about more... Hmmm...

You know what? You're right! But it's only because Makuta was throwing those villains at the Toa to retake the island. If the Toa hadn't come to Mata Nui, Makuta would only need the rahi to enslave the villages and destroy their homes. Then he probably would have released all of them at the same time, and then the Matoran would see real Darkness...

Then the matoran would be enslaved by Makuta's darkness forever. There would be no purpose for the toa or the world or Bionicle. The Toa were destined to defeat Makuta and become the Toa Nuva. Interesting theory!

No Toa = Continuing attacks by Rahi.
With Toa = Attacks by increasingly powerful foes which happen after a short period of rest.

That`s similar to how goku felt at the end of the cell saga in DBZ. every time he saved the world, a newer, more powerful enemy came to replace them. In the end he felt it was better for him to die because he kept bringing problems to the earth.
I wonder if the toa ever felt this way?

I disagree. Without the Toa, Rahi attacks would've overrun the Matoran, and Makuta would have dominion.
The presence of the toa has led to so many key findings and discoveries about Mata(and soon Metru) Nui.

Are the Matoran really that worse off with the Toa? I don't think so and heres why.
To begin with the Matoran were being attacked by Rahi, had lost their unity, duty and destiny and were basically huttled in their individual villages with a very primative "tribal" society. Since the Toa have come, yes they have had to face some new hardships such as the Bohrok (Kal) and Rahkshi, but they have also gotten their three virtues back, regained their original form, remembered where they came from and discovered that they are all one people.
I think that these good points far outweigh the bad.

Hm, I've never really thought about that. I think that they are better off with the Toa around, because the Toa have helped them return to Metru Nui.

Very interesting theory. You know what I like to call that? Irony. I believe you are right.

Right! The great beings sent the toa to destroy Makuta. Since thhe toa keep beating his minons, more powerfulk foes arise.

actually the Toa are just forcing the darkness ( or in other words bad guys ) to show themselves, they are not making more they are just forcing it out .

It's like an old proverb i've heard, "the greater the light, the greater the shadow" and vice-versa. if there's good there HAS to be evil. it's just life.

wow, good point. i guess it is just the whole, if there is good there will always be something evil to challenge it.

There must always be a balance, between light and darkness, good and evil. When one evil is defeated, another one will fill the void. It is inevitible.

Yeah. The times in between would be only crimes, not villainy, but then some new foe(AKA Buu) woud arise during an unexpected time, thus plunging the world into darkness. But light must balance dark and vise-versa.......I wonder if the Toa came out of the Mothman ,Man Dragon and Freighnburg Shrieker.......

Nice theory anyway. But matorans suffered when toa didnt come yet too,so its not so difference there.Where is light there is shadow=jing-jang.There are always two sides.Even toa bring their courage and protection to Mata nui, they also bring their biggest enemy.
Maybe is their fault a little that swarms have been unleashed

Ah, it may be partilly there fault that the swarms were realesed [I]early[/I}. The swarms would have been awakened sometime, for some reason.
