If you go to the Mata Nui Map and go to the section called the legend of Mata Nui it says that Mata Nui was sent down from paradise.

Yes we all know this. And in BZ's eyes, Paradise is were all the great beings reside. A heaven in some sort. If what I'm saying isn't what you mean please tell me.
