| Once a Matoran test pilot, Matau was selected by Toa Lhikan to become a Toa. He, along with the other Toa Metru, successfully found the Great Disks and braved many dangers on Metru Nui. When they presented themselves to Turaga Dume, though, he branded them as impostors. As it turned out, Dume was actually Makuta in disguise. After the Toa Metru defeated him, they then had to evacuate the Matoran, who had been put to sleep by Makuta, out of the city. During this Great Rescue, they were turned into Toa Hordika. |
