    LEGO and Open Source Collide
Hot Bionicle NewsPosted on Monday, September 10th, 2018 at 8:07pm by Andrew, BZPower News Manager

We're probably all familiar with some companies that make toy bricks that are 'compatible' with LEGO bricks to varying degrees of success. The LEGO Group is not too keen on this particular concept of open source compatibility, and even though many fans agree, that hasn't stopped the idea of collaboration and open standards like LDraw, moonbase, and the Great Ball Contraption from permeating the fan community. BZPower Reporter Danny recently attended FOSSCON (FOSS is free and open-source software) and gave a presentation on the subject, which has been covered by Hackaday. If you're curious about the subject, go check it out and then ask danny316p any questions you might have!
