    Blog of the Week XLI
BZPowerSunday, September 30th, 2007 at 10:57pm by Andrew, BZPower News Manager
    [Source: Toaraga]

It's been a while since our last Blog of the Week, and there's a very good reason for that. Today I have the pleasure of announcing a new addition to the Blog Staff, in the form of a Blog Leader. Who could possibly handle this job? Read on to find out.

Our current Blog Leader, Janus, has chosen to step down from the position in order to return to the forums. In his place current Forum Leader Toaraga will be filling the void. Having been on the staff for over 18 months now, he's proven to be a reliable addition to the team, taking on the Completely Off Topic forum day after day keeping it spam free. Please join me in congratulating him on his promotion.

And of course we've all come here for is the Blog of the Week, and I wouldn't want to disappoint:

It's been awhile since we've had a Blog of the Week (about two months to be exact), but it hasn't just disappeared. No, there have been some changes in the work, so who's getting the much-desired award? (Is it still desired?) Read on to find out who won this award.

Tonight's winner is none other than our current Blog Leader/Global Mod/Writer Janus and his strongly-entitled blog Intense E.M.O.T.I.O.N. I'm not sure what the acronym really stands for, but apparently it's something that's intense.

First off, it's obvious there isn't much in the way of content; in fact, aside from all the entries, there's only your basic Content Blocks telling of his entries. So what draws anyone's attention to this blog? What does Janus (or Jan-Jan) write about?

He writes, like all people with blogs, about things that interest him, and one of his interests is Gunpla (apparently a combination of GUNdam PLAstic models). After working your way through Gundam model names and descriptions, you'll find a very lengthy detailed step-by-step description of how to build a Gunpla; he even included a picture in all that text. But perhaps you don't care for Gundam, then maybe Weird Al is more your thing; indeed, "Everything You Know Is Wrong." (That especially applies here, seeing as how Jan-Jan normally writes this thing.)

Something else he enjoys is a PSP game called GURUMIN: A MONSTROUS ADVENTURE; obviously, this is not the proper title, but I digress. Regardless, it's something with a lot of cute monsters that he finds hard to attack. Also beginning with this entry, there's even a preview of planned upcoming entries, such as his review of LEGO Star Wars II for PSP and even an idea what his room is like (fourth wall fun, anyone?).

One more thing: what kind of BZPower Blog would this be without some mention of BIONICLE? Obviously a non-BIONICLE one is the answer.

Did I mention that Janus also suggests following the rules, or else he'll eat your signature. (I hear they taste good with a little dipping sauce.)

For all his hard work and being in a group by himself, Jan-Jan earns respect, and for his blog, he gets the B.O.T.W.

As a special feature, all members who are selected for the Blog of the Week will receive this special banner, customized with the date that they received this award.

    Blog of the Week 9-30-07

But remember, only Premier members like our previous winners have the ability to Blog, so if you're not one yet, Sign up Today!
