    BrickCon 2012 Wrapup
Hot Bionicle NewsSaturday, October 13th, 2012 at 4:24am by Jason, BZPower Reporter

BrickCon 2012 took place last weekend in Seattle, Washington. Although the Bionicle section was smaller than usual, the overall display of creations was simply amazing. Read on for pictures!

BrickCon is always a good convention to visit if you want to see some stellar fan creations, but this year seemed to be better than most. From towering skyscrapers to ancient dioramas to castles, space ships, and mechs, there was a little bit of everything. It's usually pretty difficult to try and capture everything at the event in photographs, and I know for sure that I fell short. The following images highlight what I thought were the best creations, but I clearly missed out on lots of stuff. For more models, you can wade through the BrickCon Flickr Page and check out more pictures other people are uploading.

We had a slow turnout for signing the improvised BZPower Guest Book, not so much because the sign in sheet wasn't available, but because there was no pen to sign it with! Still, the following members were able to seek out a writing utensil and signed, and also stated who their favorite Toa is.

    • Letagi: Lewa
    • Kopakanui: Kopaka
    • Roa McToa: ALL!
    • Swert: Takanuva
    • Kughii: Pohatu
    • Ezorov: Lewa
    • Mylo Xyloto: Onua
    • Velox: Kopaka
    • Kakaru: Vakama Hordika
    • Kayru: Onua
    • Nukaya: Toa Karkat
    • DeeVee: Kopaka
    • Xccj: Pohatu / Lewa

The MOCs at the event were amazing, and the people were great as usual. It's always a blast to hang out with BZPower members in real life. If you have the chance, make sure to stop by next year, either at BrickCon or the closest LEGO convention to your area. It'll be worth it.
