    Clearer Bohrok-Kal Images UPDATED
Hot Bionicle NewsSunday, November 3rd, 2002 at 12:16am by Rich, BZPower Administrator

    And in English, to boot

We have two new images of the Bohrok-Kal. They are quite large so please be patient with the loading time. We kept the resolution large so you would be able to see them in more detail. We've also added large individual pictures of each Bohrok-Kal.

Click to Enlarge As you can see from the first image (left), we finally have an English translation of previously-seen images of the Borhok-Kal. The transation provides some clues as to exactly what these new enemies will be about.

"New Bohrok-Kal figures feature metallic Krana, awesome tools and opaque faceplates with new graphics taken from the world of reptiles."

Krana-Kal Reconstruction That's a very interesting statement. It's still unclear if the new Krana will be actual metal or just gold and silver colored as the later version of the Kanohi were. Only time will tell there.

The "world of the reptiles" comment is interesting as well. It's not too obvious what that means, but we'll try to find out.

Also in the first image is a larger photo of Tahnok-Kal and a better resolution shot of the other six Bohrok-Kal. (See below for thumbnails of all six Bohrok-Kal - click them for larger versions).

Some other things worth noting in these higher-resolution images:

    • All the weapons are now bilaterally symmetrical, except possibly Nuhvok-Kal's
    • The proper spelling of their names is hyphenated, e.g. "Tahnok-Kal"
    • The Gahlok-Kal is holding Tahu Nuva's "symbol" under its arm
    • The only apparent differences in the Kal sets: opaque faceshields with new designs; new Krana; new weapons. Everything else appears to be exactly the same. (Note: the heads appear tilted - this may be some liberty taken by the marketing group, who have been known to display sets in positions they couldn't realistically get into.)

Click to Enlarge The second image (left) seems to offer the other half of Tahnok-Kal and a better quality shot of Gahlok-Kal. It restates that the Bohrok-Kal will come with metalized Krana. Notice the background from the callout - there's a ghosted Krana, presumably "Krana-Kal" in there. We've attempted to reconstruct it (above), but it's anyone's guess if this is the final shape.

More photos as we get them...

    8573 Nuhvok-Kal
    8574 Tahnok-Kal
    8575 Kohrak-Kal
    8576 Lehvak-Kal
    8577 Pahrak-Kal
    8578 Gahlok-Kal
