Sherlock Series 3, Episode 3: His Last Vow

Just saw it today.   All I can say is that I really want to see Series 4. Like, right now.   Sadly, we probably won't see it until 2016 at the earliest, if the release schedules for the last three seasons are anything to go by. Guess I'll just have to wait.   -TNTOS-

Sherlock Series 3, Episode 2: The Sign of Three

Just saw it. Again it was brilliant, possibly my favorite episode in the series so far, though as before I shall refrain from spoiling it for those who haven't see it.   Now if you'll excuse me, I'm off to clue for some looks. Or something like that.   -TNTOS-

Sherlock Series 3, Episode 1: The Empty Hearse

Just saw the episode.   And it was brilliant. Absolutely brilliant. Well worth the wait. I cannot wait to see the next episodes. I seriously want to know what happens next.   Anyone else seen it?   (In case any of y'all are curious, I am being purposefully vague in this blog post to avoid spoiling it for anyone who hasn't seen it yet.)   -TNTOS-

Christmas Loot

Howdy, y'all. I had a great Christmas yesterday and I hope the rest of y'all did, too (at least those of you who celebrate Christmas, anyway).   I thought I'd share my loot on my blog here, as everyone else seems to be doing. I didn't get boatloads of stuff this year, but what I did get was pretty awesome:   -"Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood Complete Collection Volume One" on Blu-Ray. FMA:B is my favorite TV show of all time, so to have this DVD set is pretty awesome, and on Blu-Ray, no less. I

Looking Back: The Shikaverse

As most of my readers know, I am in the process of writing a sequel to my most recent epic, Dawn of the New Century. It is currently titled In the End and will be released early or mid 2014. It will also be my final epic in the Shikaverse and my final epic on BZP in general.   For those of you who don't know, the Shikaverse is my Bionicle fanfiction universe. Nearly every epic and short story I have written and posted on BZP is set in the Shikaverse, starting from my earliest works all the way t

This needed to be reposted

I posted this on this blog back in September for Mask of Light's tenth anniversary, but it was deleted in the hacking, so I thought I'd repost this gem for everyone to see again.   Watch and be amazed. Or cringe in horror. Both reactions are appropriate, really.   -TNTOS-

NaNo is Nanover

As of today, National Novel Writing Month is officially over. I already deleted my NaNoWriMo content block, but will undoubtedly bring it back next year when I participate again.   I had a lot of fun with this year's novel, probably more so than any of my previous years' novels. Part of the fun was finishing so quickly. It's like the novel just zipped out of my fingertips, as if my brain had already written the entire thing and was just waiting for my fingers to start typing.   How about my fell

Sonic Boom

Apparently, this is a collaborative remix of "Sonic Boom" by Crush 40 and Cash-Cash, created for Sonic's 20th anniversary.   It's pretty awesome, but I'm still partial to the original. What do y'all think?   -TNTOS-

Novel: Finished!

As of this morning, I finished my NaNoWriMo novel, The Mad Voyage of Prince Malock, clocking in at 92,245 words, as you can conveniently see in the content block to the right. So I will not be updating the content block any more this month, although I will keep it up until December 1st because of reasons.   I expected to hit 100k, but 92k is fine, too. I'm just on a high right now, feeling really happy about myself. This is the first original novel I've written that I feel I can make into someth

That was Absurdly Fast

As of this morning, I have officially crossed the 50,000 word mark for NaNoWriMo, which officially makes me a winner. I am quite shocked because this is the fastest I've ever won NaNoWriMo. I usually hit the 50k mark around Thanksgiving, not fifteen days before it.   The story itself is not over yet, however, so I will keep writing until I finish it. I will also keep updating my word count here until the end of the month. The story might very well hit 100k before the month's end, although of cou

National Novel Writing Month

Today officially kicks off the first day of NaNoWriMo 2013! Yay!   This year, I am writing an original fantasy novel titled The Mad Voyage of Prince Malock. As you have probably already noticed, I have added a NaNoWriMo word count content block to this blog, which will be updated daily as I write my novel. Feel free to borrow the general format for your own blog if you are participating this year. Or not. Whatever floats your boat.   Best of luck to my fellow NaNo novelists as we strive to hit t

Need a Recommendation

So I got a $50 iTunes gift card recently and I've been trying to decide what to buy with it.   I noticed they have the entire first season of Elementary available for download for $25. It seems like a pretty good deal to me, especially when you factor in how much each episode costs to download individually. And I'll admit that I have been very curious about Elementary, as I love Sherlock and am interested in seeing the differences between the two shows.   So is Elementary worth watching? Or woul

Re: The Twilight Saga

(WARNING: THIS POST CONTAINS SPOILERS FOR THE TWILIGHT SAGA. READ AT YOUR OWN RISK.)   A few posts back I reported buying all four books of the Twilight Saga by Stephenie Meyer, as well as a plan to read them all.   And just a few days ago I put down the final book, Breaking Dawn, and I am now going to share some of my thoughts on them:   I felt Meyer had some interesting ideas about vampires and werewolves and I would have loved to see them expanded on. And, while she did expand on them somewha

Reposting Old Stories

As of today, I have begun reposting BIONICLE: The Legend Reloaded, which you can find here. I intend to post one chapter a day until the entire thing has been reposted. That will take a little over a month, seeing as the entire comedy is 34 chapters long.   I've been thinking of reposting the Shika Trilogy sometime, too, even though all three of the epics are not quite as good as my current work. Still, the Shika Trilogy is foundational to the Shikaverse and is the only trilogy of epics I have e

The Twilight Saga

Today I bought all four of the books from the Twilight Saga for a mere $12 at a Good Will store.   Will I regret this decision?   But seriously, I bought them because I want to decide for myself if they're good or not. I keep hearing about how horrible/great they are (depending on whether I am listening to a fan or a hater) and I don't really know who to believe, so I am going to read them and see just how good or bad they really are for myself.   Wish me luck.   -TNTOS-

Happy Birthday to me

Today is my birthday. I got a phone card from my Dad yesterday and we're baking a cake today (it's just about done, I think). As always, it's going to be a small, family event. I imagine today is not going to be radically different from most days, as I have no particular plans for my birthday.   Funny how this doesn't bother me. When I was a kid, I was always afraid people would forget about my birthday, even though no one ever did. My birthday always seemed like the most important thing in the

LEGO: The Movie

Just saw the trailer for LEGO: The Movie. It looks pretty good and I am pretty sure I will see it when it comes out. Loving how it looks like stop-motion (or is it CGI? Hard to tell).   -TNTOS-

F-Zero

Man that was an awesome video game series, one of my all-time favorites. My favorite game in the series is F-Zero GX, even though it was ridiculously, stupidly, frustratingly hard at times (I'm looking at you, Hard difficulty Story Mode).   I think Nintendo should bring it back for the Wii-U or even the 3DS (or maybe even both). It's a series that really needs a new game, IMO. I'd buy it if they did.   -TNTOS-

Fanfic News

Good news, everybody. I just finished the first draft of the sequel to Dawn of the New Century, tentatively titled In the End. I am going to work on something else for now, but rest assured that I will start work on the second draft as soon as possible. It will have to go through at least six drafts before I feel ready to post it, however, so don't expect to see it posted this year.   That's all the news I have right now regarding my fanfics. So see ya,   -TNTOS-

Looks like I got chickenpox, unfortunately. So if appear less active here, you can blame it on the chickenpox.   But fear not, I will continue to post TLI chapters every Saturday and Monday, as usual, as that is not a very taxing thing to do.   -TNTOS-
