Computer help, anyone?

Hey, guys.   Recently I downloaded the zip.exe program from this website in order to compress my files into the EPUB format (I'm learning ebook formatting, BTW, and the guide I am using said I needed this program in order to make my ebook).   But while I managed to download the program with zero problems, it's acting up on my Windows 8 computer. Every time I try to open it, it opens and then immediately closes before I can use it. It just won't stay open for some reason.   I did some googling an

"In the End" - Posted!

I am pleased to announce that today I have posted the first chapter of my newest (and last) epic, In the End. Read it HERE.   Epic will be 20 chapters long once it's finished. Schedule will be one chapter a week every Monday, unless otherwise noted.   -TNTOS-

Some Quick News

Hey guys. I just posted the epilogue to An Unlikely Alliance in the Shika Trilogy Omnibus topic a few minutes ago, That means that the entire Shika Trilogy has been reposted, which means anyone who was putting off reading it until it was all up can read it now. Yay!   Unfortunately, I am feeling really sick right now, with only enough strength to post AUA's epilogue. Unfortunately, that means I've decided to put off In the End's release date a week.   That means, instead of being posted today, I

National Pokedex: Completed

As of today, I completed the National Pokedex on Pokemon X! Yay!   This is an accomplishment for me because I've never completed the National Pokedex on a Pokemon game before. I only completed this one thanks to the GTS, which, in my opinion, is one of the best things to ever happen to the Pokemon games.   Admittedly, I didn't catch literally every Pokemon. The special Legendaries -- Mew, Jirach, Deoxys, Manaphy, Darkrai,Shaymin, Arceus, Keldeo, Meloetta, and Genesect -- were unavailable on the

DONE!

As of this morning, I finished editing my upcoming epic, In the End. I am so happy right now, mostly because I always feel this way after finishing an epic or novel.   This was a hard one to write. Not only did it need to resolve the hanging plot points from Dawn of the New Century, but it also had to wrap up the Shikaverse, too. Not sure if I succeeded or not. I think I did and I know I tried, which is really all I can do in the end*.   The entire epic is 20 chapters long, not including the pro

Grand Line

Between this and the German version of the first opening (which you can watch ), I am forced to conclude that the German dub of One Piece must be awesome (even though I haven't seen even one episode of the German dub).  This is a valid scientific conclusion based on ten minutes of research on YouTube, so I think I know what I am talking about here.   -TNTOS-

Fanfic News and Updates

Hi, everyone!   I am pleased to finally announce the release date for my upcoming epic, In the End.   Originally I said I'd post it sometime in early or mid 2014, but I have now set an official release date for it. Here it is:   Monday, March 31st, 2014.   Because I don't want to be posting In the End alongside The Shika Trilogy Omnibus, I have also decided to change the posting schedule for the Omnibus. I will be posting one chapter a day every day for the rest of this month, starting today (as

The Greatest Bionicle Fanfic Ever Written

Nine years ago, my brothers and I collaborated to write the single greatest Bionicle fanfic ever written. True, most of us didn't know how to write at the time and we had absolutely no experience writing any sort of fiction at all, but gosh darn it we didn't let those minor inconveniences get in the way of us writing the greatest Bionicle fanfic ever written (and yes, the italics are totally necessary. Why? Because it's the greatest Bionicle fanfic ever written that's why).   You must understand

Looking Back: Top Four Favorite Stories from the Shikaverse

(NOTE: For those who don't know what this is series of blog posts is, please check out the introduction here.)   Continuing the "Looking Back" series, today I will talk about my top four favorite stories from the Shikaverse. Four may seem like an odd number (although it's actually an even number*), but that's because I wanted to talk only about the stories that I actually, genuinely enjoyed writing or thought were good, rather than picking out enough stories to fit an arbitrary number like five

Sherlock Series 3, Episode 3: His Last Vow

Just saw it today.   All I can say is that I really want to see Series 4. Like, right now.   Sadly, we probably won't see it until 2016 at the earliest, if the release schedules for the last three seasons are anything to go by. Guess I'll just have to wait.   -TNTOS-

Sherlock Series 3, Episode 2: The Sign of Three

Just saw it. Again it was brilliant, possibly my favorite episode in the series so far, though as before I shall refrain from spoiling it for those who haven't see it.   Now if you'll excuse me, I'm off to clue for some looks. Or something like that.   -TNTOS-

Sherlock Series 3, Episode 1: The Empty Hearse

Just saw the episode.   And it was brilliant. Absolutely brilliant. Well worth the wait. I cannot wait to see the next episodes. I seriously want to know what happens next.   Anyone else seen it?   (In case any of y'all are curious, I am being purposefully vague in this blog post to avoid spoiling it for anyone who hasn't seen it yet.)   -TNTOS-

Some Fanfic News and Updates

As of this morning, I posted the epilogue of my latest comedy, My Little BIONICLE: Friendship is Explosive. At 15 chapters, it is officially complete, so I'd say this is the perfect time to read it, especially if you are a Bionicle or MLP fan.   In other news, I recently started reposting the Shika Trilogy in an omnibus format here in the Epics forum with a five chapter a week schedule. It's the perfect opportunity to snark at my old writing, so I'd take it if I were most of you .   Regarding I

The Shika Trilogy Omnibus -- Posted!

I mentioned in my last blog post that I was going to repost the entire Shika Trilogy starting today.   And now I am pleased to announce that I have begun reposting it here. Expect five chapters a week, Monday through Friday, unless otherwise noted.   This should hopefully tide y'all over until In the End is ready to be posted. Go read it.   -TNTOS-

Looking Back: Top 10 Favorite Characters from the Shikaverse, Part 2

(NOTE: For those who don't know what these series of blog posts are, read the introduction here.)   Continued from this blog post.   #6: Toa Oggakia   First appearance: The Recruitment of Axonn (cameo)   Quote:   Nailed it . . . Ive been lying and deceiving everyone, even Jokao, all this time. Almost everything I have said is a lie; every single bit of it. I have lied about my past, my connection with the Tuikas, and many, many other things that you dont even know about. And if I tell you or any

Pokemon X

I got Pokémon X a couple of days ago and have been playing it for several hours a day every day since. It's been so long since I last played a Pokémon game (since the third generation, I think) that I almost forgot how fun these games are, although I managed to get back into the swing of things pretty quickly.   Currently, I am in Cyllage City and have just defeated Grant, the second Gym Leader. My current team is (nicknames in parenthesis):   Floette (Navi), Level 27 Frogadier (Kermit), Level 2

Christmas Loot

Howdy, y'all. I had a great Christmas yesterday and I hope the rest of y'all did, too (at least those of you who celebrate Christmas, anyway).   I thought I'd share my loot on my blog here, as everyone else seems to be doing. I didn't get boatloads of stuff this year, but what I did get was pretty awesome:   -"Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood Complete Collection Volume One" on Blu-Ray. FMA:B is my favorite TV show of all time, so to have this DVD set is pretty awesome, and on Blu-Ray, no less. I

Looking Back: Top 10 Favorite Characters from the Shikaverse, Part 1

(NOTE: For those who don't know what this is, you can read the introduction here.)   To kick off this series of Looking Back posts, I will start off with my top ten favorite characters from the Shikaverse. Due to the length of this post, it will be split into two parts, with the first five characters in this post and the last five in another.   Also, there be spoilers ahead. If you don't want my stories spoiled, then I suggest not reading this, at least until you've read my works.   I chose to s

Looking Back: The Shikaverse

As most of my readers know, I am in the process of writing a sequel to my most recent epic, Dawn of the New Century. It is currently titled In the End and will be released early or mid 2014. It will also be my final epic in the Shikaverse and my final epic on BZP in general.   For those of you who don't know, the Shikaverse is my Bionicle fanfiction universe. Nearly every epic and short story I have written and posted on BZP is set in the Shikaverse, starting from my earliest works all the way t

This needed to be reposted

I posted this on this blog back in September for Mask of Light's tenth anniversary, but it was deleted in the hacking, so I thought I'd repost this gem for everyone to see again.   Watch and be amazed. Or cringe in horror. Both reactions are appropriate, really.   -TNTOS-

NaNo is Nanover

As of today, National Novel Writing Month is officially over. I already deleted my NaNoWriMo content block, but will undoubtedly bring it back next year when I participate again.   I had a lot of fun with this year's novel, probably more so than any of my previous years' novels. Part of the fun was finishing so quickly. It's like the novel just zipped out of my fingertips, as if my brain had already written the entire thing and was just waiting for my fingers to start typing.   How about my fell

Sonic Boom

Apparently, this is a collaborative remix of "Sonic Boom" by Crush 40 and Cash-Cash, created for Sonic's 20th anniversary.   It's pretty awesome, but I'm still partial to the original. What do y'all think?   -TNTOS-

Novel: Finished!

As of this morning, I finished my NaNoWriMo novel, The Mad Voyage of Prince Malock, clocking in at 92,245 words, as you can conveniently see in the content block to the right. So I will not be updating the content block any more this month, although I will keep it up until December 1st because of reasons.   I expected to hit 100k, but 92k is fine, too. I'm just on a high right now, feeling really happy about myself. This is the first original novel I've written that I feel I can make into someth
