Yesterday was the funeral for my grandmother who just recently died (see last entry). It was a small graveside funeral. It was just me, my family, and some of our friends from church. It was a short service, but that's how we wanted it to be. And so life goes on. Being confronted with a death like this can seem unreal, particularly if you've never had someone close to you die before. Just makes you think. -TNTOS-
My grandma just passed away earlier today . It's not like we weren't expecting it. She was very old - nearly 90 - and had already suffered multiple strokes, not to mention had been bedridden for several years already. Still, it's such a shock. One day she's alive; the next, she's not. We still have to get the funeral arranged and all that, but I just thought I'd let y'all know. -TNTOS-
If anyone has been wondering why I have been inactive for the last three days, it is because of an icky cold my family has caught recently. It has affected me, too; in fact, I have barely been able to get any writing done at all thanks to the cold. I feel a little better today, but not by much. Way, way, too long, even for the Inheritance Cycle, although I think it was the best book in the series. I am nearly finished writing my NaNo novel, Terra Apocalypse. I estimate I will finish it in a few days, maybe even tomorrow depending on how the story goes. Yesterday was the last day of NaNoWriMo. My final word count for Terra Apocalyse was 75,584, which is the most I have ever written for NaNoWriMo. As of this morning, I reached 50,000 words on my NaNoWriMo novel, Terra Apocalyse. Yay and stuff. Therefore I "won," in the sense that I hit 50k, the basic goal of NaNoWriMo. But the story itself is still far from over, so I am going to try to finish it before moving on to other stories because I hate leaving my stories unfinished and incomplete. And no, I will not be posting it on BZP. I plan to get this novel published someday. This is also the first draft and I never show the first drafts
So yesterday, I took the driving test for my driver license. And I failed. Miserably. Not only that, but I may need glasses, too (although that doesn't surprise me, since I've wondered about my eyesight for a while now). Oh, well. I can always retake the test once I get some more experience. I'm still bothered (mostly at myself), but it's not the end of the world. I only have four HF sets so far, two from last year, two from this year.
Of the four, Stormer 2.0 and Rotor are my favorites. Fire Lord and Preston Stormer are okay, but not all that great IMO.
Do I consider myself an HF fan? Not necessarily, no. But I do like some of the sets, though the story doesn't seem like much to me.
I much prefer BIONICLE over HF, but HF's sets seem like a worthy replacement for BIONICLE's sets, although I think BIONICLE had the superior story of the two.

Would anyone here be interested in reading a commentary on my first BIONICLE epic, The Tales of Shika Nui? Or perhaps one for my first comedy, My Bionicle Road Trip?
If I do write and post it, it would probably be a mixture of seriousness and humor. Because let's be honest here; TToSN wasn't the greatest (being my very first epic and all) and probably deserves to be mocked. I would probably point out a couple of interesting serious points when I feel like it, but I imagine my style of comment
I will probbaly be at Brick Fiesta this year, but most likely only during the public exhibitions. Austin isn't too far from me and I do have some money on me, so it shouldn't be very difficult for me to attend. Why does it seem difficult for me to write original fiction, whereas writing fanfiction is easier?
I have just found that, when I work on original stuff, I am rarely satisfied with it, whereas I usually become pretty satisfied with my fanfiction quickly. This is especially troubling because I do not plan to write fanfiction for all of my life. I want to move onto original fiction, but my few attempts at writing original works has always been hard for me, and not the good hard that accompanies

-The DiH supplement I mentioned earlier, which will feature the Dark Hunter Raider, is officially titled The Other Tale. I may possibly call it, Dimension Hoppers: The Other Tale, but for now it will just be TOT (a weird acronym, but not as weird as Tapestry of Evil's, anyway)
-I am going to go through Dimension Hoppers itself one last time. Once I have that done, I will begin posting it one chapter a week

Should I nominate my own comedy, BIONICLE: The Legend Reloaded, for some nomination (not sure which one yet) for the First Annual CCC Awards?
On one hand, I think it's good enough to be nominated for something, but on the other hand, I am afraid of looking conceited for nominating my own comedy (even though it is allowed). I just want to know what other people think before I take action, although the final decision will ultimately be mine to make.

My oldest brother bought "Super Smash Bros. Brawl" a few days ago and - because you can use Gamecube controllers with it - my brothers and I have been playing it non-stop since.

Could someone explain to me what Japanese honorifics such as san, sama, chan, kun, and perhaps any others I might not know about mean?
I know san is attached to the name of someone you respect and sama means something like master, but I cannot for the life of me remember what chan and kun mean. I think chan has something to do with girls and kun applies to boys, but I am still not sure of their exact meanings.
If anyone could explain this to me I'd highly appreciate it .
