So I just bought Yes' "Fragile" on vinyl, and it's awesome. However, the copy I bought has a ton of background noise due to surface scratches. Never skips, but is pretty crackly. The store had 3 copies (all used) and all had some issues. One looked like it had some deeper scratches. So, should I keep this one and deal with the crackle, or try and return it and grab one of the other copies, which may be better or worse?
Well I bought my first vinyl today, Pop-Rock supergroup Asia's self-titled début album. Feels cool lol. I always loved records when I was younger. My dad used to have tons. Well, first off, I saw the Hunger Games on Saturday. I have to say, it was brilliantly done. Jennifer Lawrence is a perfect Katniss, and same with Hutcherson/Peeta. I also think they made Haymitch a bit more lovable, which I'm not sure yet how I feel about. But in all, it was really book-true, and captured the emotions really well (especially Rue's death). So instead of school, today I went down to Washington state with my Dad, Korean, and Chilean international students. It was really fun, filled with many jokes. We spent a ton of time in Best Buy, then went to a mall, to Target, to a headphone store, and yeah. I've been listening to Yes a lot lately, at the suggestion of Frank Zappa and Tenebrae Invictus. They are pretty fantastic...
