Normally I don't get caught up in all the Black Friday shopping madness, however this year I've managed to complete all my Christmas shopping. I ordered my mom's and my brother's presents off of amazon, and I picked up a CD for my dad this morning.
It's probably been five or six years since I've actually gone shopping on Black Friday, but my brother and I went up to Target at about 7:30. We got pretty lucky, since my brother was able to snag the second-to-last Nerf Raider that they had on s
Yesterday, I got some freezing rain. The roads got pretty slick, so it was nice not having to go anywhere.
It was still sprinkling a little bit when I went to class this morning. The main roads were pretty good, but any side streets were pretty icy. When I tried to turn into the alley where I park, I ened up sliding right past the turn. I stepped on the brakes with light pressure and the wheels instantly locked up, and I started sliding. I ended up going around to the other entrance, wh
Wow, I was not expecting this. I guess I've been doing something right though. Otherwise Black Six probably never would have noticed me.
The promotion topic is very reveling however, since it looks like there are quite a few people who have never heard of me. I'm not surprised though, since I mainly hang out in LGD, which isn't the most active forum. I also have the lowest post count of any current staff member. I'm not sure it's the lowest at a promotion though, since there are a couple
How many times can I push it aside?
Is it time I befriended all the ghosts of all the things that haunt me most?

I'd rather forget and not slow down
Than gather regret for the things I can't change now
If I become what I can't accept, resurrect the saint from within the wretch

I realized that as of today I've had my drivers license for about 1 year. It isn't exactly, but we sorted popcorn for the Boy Scout fundraiser so I'm going to count it as one year.
My library finally purchased The Small House Book by Jay Shafer, which is weird, because they originally told me it wasn't available to purchase. I'm not going to complain though. =P
I'm starting to read through it and there is some interesting stuff in it. I like most of the houses Jay has designed, although I don't think I would be able to live, long term, in one of his tiny houses. I would have go with one of his small houses. 250 to 900 sq. ft is appealing to me though. Enough room
Switched back to my old name now. It was a fun month with F=ma but it wasn't quite as good as Michigan J. Frog. I think I might switch up my font and post color though. I really like the font I was using for the last month.
I'll probably leave most of my stuff the same, except for maybe my avvy. I have some other ideas for name changes, but it will be a while before I change it again.

I guess I won't be getting LEGO Universe for a while. Originally I had planned on purchasing it this month so I could spend my free month playing over winter break, but it looks like LEGO Shop has changed their terms of use so you have to 18. That's a problem because I won't be 18 until the end of December, and I've tied my LEGO VIP account to one of my LEGO Club accounts.
I'm not going to spend $40 on something from LEGO and then lose those 40 points. I guess it will probably be summer be
Recently expanded my music collection. I've gotten a lot of new stuff lately, but Hawk Nelson was one of my bigger purchases. I bought Hawkology, the Hawk Nelson Anthology.
Now I own their first three albums, Hawk Nelson is my Friend, Smile It's the End of the World, and Letters to the President. Smile It's the End of the World is definitely my favorite album. There's a lot of good songs. It's one of the few albums that I like most of the songs. Their music is more "rocky" then some of
Well, we didn't get the 2 to 4inches of snow my dad claimed, but for now I'm okay with that.
The wind got pretty wild last night. On of the neighbors had a tree go down, although I don't think it hit anything. There are a bunch a branches down in my yard, ranging from small to a huge on that's in front.
It's still raining/snowing out and the wind is still blowing fairly strong. It was only about 32 out this morning so I had to pull out my winter jacket for the first time this fall. Hop
So as of last night parts of Minnesota and Wisconsin are in a high wind advisory. As of right now there is some wind where I live but it hasn't gotten too bad yet. It's raining though the weather really isn't that nice. It's just icky out.
I really wish I didn't have to work today.
My Eagle Board of Review was last night. The board talk to me for a while and then they voted. They unanimously approved. Now National just needs to approve it and it will be official. It wasn't as hard as I thought it would be. All three of the board members were really nice and they didn't really ask any really hard questions.
Sunday was the reunion for the people who went to the Jamboree with my council. It was rather fun.
A bunch of people talked about what they did out at the Jamboree. The leaders talked and some of the scouts talked. We also got our 10x23 group picture that was taken in front of the capitol building. We also got a cd with some of the pictures the leaders took. There wasn't as much stuff on there as I thought there would be though.
I'm giving a presentation to my troop in the beginning o
That's basically how my brain feels right now. I spent most of this afternoon trying to figure out how to complete 1 physics problem. I finally figured out how to do it, but it wasn't my text book that helped. It was this Physics book a friend gave my family, after they found it in a dumpster.
For some reason, the authors of my text book decided to leave out the algebra for the one example problem that would have helped me so they could have a question for the end of the chapter.
I'm going to go up to North Dakota State University to tour their school on Friday. I'm not sure if I'll end up going there next fall, but it is one of my top choices.
My other choice is the New Jersey Institute of Technology. I'm not sure if I'm going to go out there to tour it though.
I needed a change of pace from my previous name. So I made my new name Newton's Second Law of Motion. Hopefully I won't hate by the end of the thirty days.
I also have a new blog theme, and a new approval that will be going out shortly.
I got a letter earlier this week saying my Eagle Board of Review is on October 21st. Ideally I would have liked it to be in September, but I guess there was too much of a backlog of Eagle candidates in my council for that to happen.
It should be exciting, now I just have to get ready for it.
