Day 28 Well, Physics test went pretty well. I'm pretty sure I got an A. I got my Calc test back today as well, I got a 95 on that. I'm still geeking out over The Hobbit though. I can't wait 'till December.
Day 27 Well, my mom is recovering quite well from surgery. So that's good. I had the first of three tests for the week. It was for Calculus. Since this class is mostly review, I nailed it and got outta there in 15 minutes. B) I hung out a bit with the guys on my hall. There're some really cool guys here. Theres the guy who makes medeval staffs, and sells 'em online. He's also a registered clown and magician. There's the Brony who I play Minecraft with, and he also writes dubstep. Ther
Huh, I posted this last night. Guess the server ate it. Day 25 So I got together with the Brony on my hall, and we started watching Firefly. Which is totally awesome. That's about all I did today, I finished up most of my homework. Sooo... later!
Day 24 Have I mentioned I hate weekends? They just serve as a constant reminder of my lack of social skills. There's almost always events going on Saturday nights, which I show up to and then proceed to do nothing at. I have no idea how to approach people, or even hold a decent conversation. It gets a little depressing sometimes.
Day 23 Well, today my Chem professor decided to surprise the class with a group assignment that he swears he told us about before, but no one knew about it. So that'll be fun. Since it's due Tuesday. I attempted to download Black Mesa, but the files were corrupted, and I didn't feel like using another 6 hours for downloading. Completely unrelated, but I think I've finally gotten the hang of the one-handed card cut. Took me a while though. To wrap up, I just thought you all should
My God. He's like the holy spawn of Jimi Hendrix and The Beatles. Mr. Fantasy may be my new favorite song ever. EDIT: And throw some Jethro Tull in there for good measure.
Day 22 Oh Thursday's, how I love you so. Took a Fitness and Wellness exam this morning, I think it went pretty well. I spent most of the day reading Plato's Gorgias, which was a really interesting read. Also, I found out my roomate definitely does not enjoy any sort of electronic music.
Day 21 Well, we had the freshman swim test today. Which was passed without much issue. Did some basic level kinematic stuff in Phys lab. Aaand that's about all the interesting stuff. I've got my first 'real' test tomorrow, so... later!
Day 20 Dang, 20 days already. Well, Tuesdays are still my least favorite day. Early morning Phys Ed and late night Humanities just don't make for a good day. Not to mention I went through seven years of Scantrons for the Physics Dept. Man those are heavy. My Chem lab was pretty good today though, we did some actual chemistry finally. I seem to remain my halls resident Physics expert, since we had another study group for the homework that's due tomorrow. I'm gonna polish off this
Day 19 Today was my first official day of working in the laser lab. It was just me and a senior, and we were working on the plumbing. We had to fit a heat exchanger, which is basically just a heavy metal cube, into a mess of hoses and pumps. We managed to disconnect most of the hoses and screw the exchanger into the box, and then set to the task of reconnecting the hoses. And these are no normal hoses. They're designed to withstand extreme water pressure, so they're about 8mm thick PVC, wi
So, I've been listening to Caravan Palace recently. Absolutely love 'em. Anyways, I realised that Caravan Palace was the only Electro-swing I have, and that just will not do. Which brings me to the point of this entry: What are some good Electro-swing artists? I know very little about this genre, other than it being awesome.
Day 18 Slept through breakfast again. I'm bad at getting up on weekends. Played some more Magic, and finally won a game. Wrapping up the day watching the Steelers/Broncos game.
Day 17 Well, I missed breakfast, due to the little sleep I got. I played more Minecraft for most of the afternoon. We got a totally awesome mountain base, which we cover the outside in water, so it can't easily be blown up. It looks awesome. However, the admins for this server were really abusing their powers. Flying around and killing people on a strict survival server is all kinds of messed up. It was great though, cause the two other guys I was playing with all had pon skins on. I was
Day 16 Classes were pretty easy/boring today, although I do have to write a one page summary of why I became a Physics major. I hate writing assignments like that. Anyways, the real fun came later in the day. Me and two other people started a Minecraft faction for are hall on the school's server. It was tons of fun, except when an Enderman spawned in our hall. Then, I learned how to play Magic: The Gathering, and played that for about two hours. Then I realised it was 1:30, and maybe we
Day 14 So, I saw my new favorite math joke today: A like of infinite Mathmaticians walk into a bar. The first one orders a drink. The second one orders half a drink. The third one orders a quarter of a drink. After the fourth one orders, the bartender puts two drinks on the counter and says: "You boys really need to learn your limits!" I lol'd. Anyways, we had Physics lab today. Which turned into "what's wrong with the software". Anyways, classes were pretty nondescript today.
Day 13 Slinked out of bed at 6:00 again, I'm still recovering from the long weekend. OMG. Calc is so incredibly boring when you have to repeat it. Having to go back to limit laws is the most painfully tedious process in the world. Had lunch witb some guys on my hall, and I believe one of them is a brony. More evidence is required though. Chem Lab was so-so, it was a very easy lab. Dealing with the various masses of different concentrations of salt solutions. We had to cut the lab a littl
Day 12 Yay for extended weekends! I didn't do an overly large amount today, mostly finished up the remains of my homework and played some games. Then I went to the Men's Glee club rehearsal, and boy was that fun. I haven't auditioned yet, so I don't know if I'm gonna stay in it. But we went through a few songs: Blackwater Come on Eileen Guy Love and a Lés Mis song that I can't quite remember. Something like Let Him Live. Anyways, that was fun.
I'm really tired, so I'll keep this short. Day 10 Got most of my homework done in the morning, so I dedicated the rest of the day to Smash Bros., Wind Waker, and Asylum of the Daleks. Then, a bunch of people piled into one room, and we all watched Wall-E.
Day 9 Yay for weekends! I started the day off by putting the wrong notebook in my bag, so I had to come all the way back after Calc to turn in my homework. I got a (very) short tour of the laser system that I'll be helping to fix. We believe it's a problem with the heat exchanger, but we haven't been able to reproduce the failure. The school had their organizational fair today, so I signed up for Glee Club, Ski Club, and the gaming/Anime/D&D coverall group. And now I got all o
