Day 8 Well, it's that time again. Thursday's are my light days, so all I had class-wise was an 8 o'clock Phys Ed. class. I spent a good portion of the afternoon updating the wall with all the Physics Student's pictures and names on it. We had our Physics Pizza Party. Not a lot happened, it was really more of a meet-an-greet. That's about all the non-study related activities for the day. See ya tomorrow!
Day 7 Well, it appears that I've officially survived my first week of college! *yay* As for today's activities, not a whole lot exciting happened. I went to Physics, Calc, and Chem lectures. I also had Physics lab for the first time today. Which really kinda sucked because all it was was a diagnostic exsm to see what we already new. Then all the Freshman got had to go to a manatory survey, done by the same people who do the ACTs. So that was also a terrible waste of time. Looking fo
I swear, I will eventually blog about something else. This is all I've had time for so far. Day 6 Let me just go on record saying that it should be a crime to give someone morning and night classes on the same day. I got up early to go to an 8:00 Fitness and Wellness class, then more Calc. I did some more work as DA, just delivering and picking up stuff mostly. I did get to talk with one of the Physics Professors about doing some independant research in the laser lab, which would be swee
Day 5 Had to get up nice and early to make the 8:00 Physics class. Which goes straight into Calc. Ugh. Started my work as Departmental Assistant. Which was pretty cool. It's mostly just runningn errands though. Spent a while filling out tax forms so I could actually get paid for the aforementioned job Finished up the academic day with Chemistry. That's about it for today, no homework was assigned. See y'all tomorrow! With (groan) PhysEd...
Day 4 Today was pretty cool. We had chapel at the beautiful church on campus, and the men's Glee club led the hymns. Talked more and met more people. We had a short RA meeting. Our RAs are pretty cool, they're really helpful, and fairly leniant. I tried to get my MacBook on the wifi again. It'll connect at the IT Center but it doesn't like my halls router. Lastly, we went to the Orientation Board's "Off Broadway", where the various OB groups present skits. They were really good, a
Day 3 Not a whole lot happened today. I bought my 650 dollars worth of books, and lugged 'em all the way across campus. Man those were heavy. Finally got some game time in, so I played some Assassin's Creed II. Lastly, we had a carnival at around 8:00, which was pretty awesome. They had the typical carnival type games, but they also had a Gamecube set up, and were running Melee games. I owned my first round as Sheik, and then was promptly creamed because of Big Blue. Like I said,
Hello everyone! I figured college would be a great excuse for me to join the 'Closing Thoughts' bandwagon. Since I didn't do one yesterday, you get a brief rundown of day 1 as well. Day 1 Moved in, got settled, and met some people. Got a school issued laptop, which isn't bad. It's a touch screen, and folds into a tablet. There was a party in one of the main halls for the freshmen, didn't meet too many people though, since it was really crowded. Day 2 Spent half an hour tryin
Well, I'm all moved in. First day has been pretty exciting. Although Steam won't run in anything but Offline Mode here, and I can't seem to connect my Macbook to the wifi.
Well, I'm all packed up. (for the most part) I leave on Wednesday to go to Grove City College. As excited as I am, I gotta say, I'm scared to death. I'm not sure why, but the thought of college is just overwhelmingly terrifying. That'll probably all settle within my first day, but still, it's gonna be an intersting move.
So I was at Macaroni Grill for my sister's birthday, and they gave us crayons with which to draw. So I said to myself: "You know Eeko? I'm gonna actually draw something! I never do!" Here's a minute by minute breakdown of what happened. 1st min: Automatic default to Triforce. 2nd min: Get bored and try to freehand a Fibonacci Spiral. 3rd min: Get to about n=9 on the spiral, start jotting down as much of the Fibonacci sequence as I can on the tablecloth, get about thirty numbers down.
So hey guys, I'm having some trouble with one of my Custom Maps, titled "The Grid". When I subscribe to it, it won't show up on my queue. Normally I could just load up the file, but I made it on my laptop, and am trying to play it on my desktop. Any idea why this is? Will it work for someone else?
So I finally decided to stop being lazy, and edit out the forum urls from the sheet music I've arranged. And now I'm gonna post 'em all here for you to see. Skyward Sword Tubert's Theme Three Dragons Farore's Courage Island in the Sky Pumpkin Pastime Gate of Time Bamboo Island Skyrim Age of Oppression That's all I got now, enjoy!
So I beat Quantum Conundrum, I and I thought I might do a little review on it. First, the good: The puzzle 'gimmick' is fantastic, the IDS (Inter-Dimensional Shifting) device is a great idea. It's smooth, easy to use, and leads to some really cool puzzles. John De Lancie. I know him primarily from MLP: FiM, since I never watched much Star Trek. Regardless of whether you've seen him or not, he's still a fantastic voice actor, and he fits really well into games. Now for the (rather lengthy)
So I was at Barnes and Nobles the other day, idly wandering through the "Adult Fiction" section. (Seeing as I turned 18, I figured I'd graduated from the "Child's Fiction"). When I stumbled upon a rather large anthology. Roughly six hundered pages, written by this Lovecraft fellow. I had never read any of his work, and had always meant to. Noticing the shockingly low price of $7.59, I decided to purchase it for myself. Now, about two hundered pages in, I thought I might post a blog entry informi
So I saw The Dark Knight Rises. Fantastic. Not as good as Dark Knight in my mind, but man oh man was Bane intense. In other news, yay skin! It was a lot of fun to see this come together backstage. I even had my own little part to play! Granted it was just cataloguing images that I'm not entirely sure were used... but hey, it still looks nice.
Well, I'm finally back from tour. I had a great time, and am very tired. As far as Steam goes, I picked up the following. Amnesia Assassin's Creed Brotherhood Bioshock Bioshock 2 Darksiders Limbo Quantum Conundrum Psychonaughts And then the lovely JMJ gifted me Bastion. (Chols did as well, but JMJ beat him to the punch). Lord knows when I'll actually play any of these. So for now, I'll be avoiding the blogs because of potential DKR spoilers. See you later!
So I'm on my choir tour right now, and since the mobile version of BZP is annoying at best, I'm going to tell you all to look down a couple entries to find our tour route. Come if you can. Or of you can't.
So Steam sale guys. I picked the perfect time to have a birthday. I've got a $50 dollar cap, and I fully plan on using it all. But I have a question for people, seeing as this is my first Steam Sale. Do the smaller deals (like how Bastion is 33% off now) stay up for the full 10 days? Say Bastion doesn't get any lower than 33% off, will it stay 33% off the whole time? Or go back to full price later?
Birthday loot brag time!! I had a pretty sweet load this time 'round, maybe one of the best ever for me. First up iTunes money, so I had just enough to buy both Clockwork Angels by Rush, as well as Alive 2007 by Daft Punk. So good. Second up was a Zombie survival poster, which didn't really make sense since my whole family knows I'm not a poster person. Thirdly, was a $50 () Steam gift card. Snagged about 75 bucks overall. Greatest of all however, was the T-shirts. Feast your eyes upon th
