A question for someone who's good with computer type stuff.

Ok. So my copy of Heartgold has ceased to function. It says the save data can't be accessed. Anyone got any ideas?   I've got the thing open. I'm aware that that isn't recommended, but I figured, since Nintendo customer service said that getting it fixed/replaced is the same price as a new copy, and there's no guarantee they can fix it, the worst case scenario is that it continues to not work. best case scenario, I can get it working long enough to grab any pokemon I want off of it.   So, Anyon

Are you kidding me.

So I recently discovered my Pokemon ranger game allows me to get an event deoxys.   If I downloaded the event 2 years ago. Which I did not.   Why do the insist on doing this sort of thing? It makes no sense... Yet another reason I'm not particularly fond of Nintendo at times...

Club Nintendo's closure

So I read an article that club Ninendo is closing. (Not said article, that's Nintendo's announcement and FAQ)   Just thought I'd post it here since there are quite a few people who post about the games and stuff.   I also need to find something I can use to get 5 points because I am literally that far away from a copy of Super Metroid. I'll look at getting a VC game or something...   Aso Flipnote 3D is apperantly coming next month as a free download for club Nintendo users. (Finally)   Also: If

That was stupid: Part 2

I was right. That was a terrible Idea. Now instead of sitting in the seat at the table I sit at, she sat a different table.   Again, this is why I don't talk to people.

A serious question

How far up do I have to get in the educational system before the teachers goal is prepare me for life outside of school rather then the next level of school?   Now excuse me while I cram information into my brain so I can take a test and write an essay on memorized information in ink in the span of an hour and then forget about all of it the second I walk out of the classroom. Because that's apparently what going to a university is all about.   Which exactly why I'm at a community college.   Did

There's Probably A Lesson Somewhere

Continuing on a fairly recent blog entry of mine dealing with the young lady at the restaurant, it would appear that she no longer works there.   This is not the first time this has happened, though usually my reaction is of relief that I don't have to deal with it anymore. This time I'm a bit dissapointed.   I know it's my own fault, but I just can't seem to do anything about it for a mess of reasons. I thought maybe I could do it this time.   Probably the biggest one is my inability to drive,

Someone Explain Fire Emblem to Me

I get the basic principle of the game, it's basically a more advanced chess match. But anything beyond that is eluding me.   I've been able to struggle most of my way through some if Awakening but I've hit a point where I got stuck and put it down, and am hoping to pick it up after I'm willing to remove Pokemon from my system.   It might be worth noting that I don't generally play turn based strategy games.   So, any tips?

I Have a Serious Question

Okay, so I'm seeing if I can't get a second opinion that's in no way connected to my personal life.   OK, so a little less then a month ago I was at a local restaurant with my family for my father's birthday. When I went up to order the young lady who took it made note that she saw me there often, (which is true) and asked for my name. (She also gave me hers but I was kind of panicking at this point and I can't actually remember it.) Now, my family is convinced that she was flirting with me.

Enployment!

After just under six months I was able to find a job as a janitor. Not glamorous by any means, but I can't complain.   It beats being an over the phone Verizon rep. If you ever get the opportunity to do that, don't.

Has science gone too far?

So there's now a way to hack computers that aren't on the grid using inaudible sound waves to establish connection. The bug can infect computers within 65 feet of the source even if the computer in question has no network connection and send keystrokes and other stuff through it. That's just scary. And really cool. I don't know whether to be fascinated or worried.

Kid Icarus: Uprising

I've talked about this game before. Not in depth really, though. But I really like this game.   It has some of the most genius minigame design I've ever seen.   You read that right. KI:U has minigames. And I know Most of the time I've encountered these things it's been an infuriating break from the game I intended to still be playing. The one's in the lego games are rather irritating, IMO. I think it's odd that the Lego Harry Potter game for the DS has an unlockable specifically for avoiding the

I won?

According to my youtube inbox I have won one of the raffles.   This has led me to realize the horror that is the youtube messaging system. I couldn't find it so I could make sure I did, in fact reply.   I did eventually figure it out after no less than 3 outdated TUTORIALS on the subject. Rediculous I tell you.   But I won a raffle so that's cool.

Nintendo. again.

So there's finally been some word on Pokebank. I'm not so ticked about it not being released, but the sheer lack of information on the matter. It seems like up until the 27th of december they wouldn't stop talking about it, than BAM! No updates or anything.   And then we have flipnote, which was supposed to be released MONTHS ago. And now it seems like it's something that isn't happening.   Then we have Swapnote, which is pretty much useless, and it's the closest thing to a communication app o

So apparently there's a The Giver movie coming out

And I don't know how to feel about that. I'm not entirely sure the ideas conveyed in the book can even be put on a screen effectively. What made the book so awesome was that the viewpoint was from someone who had only ever lived in that world, meaning anything and everything that was so alien and wrong with the society in the book was given almost no attention until the character starts seeing things he isn't normally supposed to. The fact that that's being put on a screen severely takes away fr

What.

Apparently Netflix is having a The Series of Unfortunate Events series made.   I don't know whether to get excited or really ticked off. Is it to early for the second one?

Today was a good day

I went out thinking I might get a copy of MH4U.   I was not expecting the Shulk amiibo. But apparently nobody had asked about them and when I showed interest in the new Xenoblade game the employee mentioned he had an extra one in stock. And the Target nearby had one copy of MH4U left.   Score.   Also, don't ask about the pink tinge. I honestly haven't a clue what that's about.

Anyone here going to be playing Destiny?

Because I might have two spare beta codes (Xbo 360). I think it said I get three, but I can't confirm that. If anyone wants to claim them go ahead, All my friends have their own already.   There's also a way to set up a group and I was thinking about doing a BZP one if enough people would jump on with me.   And I'll see about opening up a COT topic on this, maybe make it all official if I can.

On Preordering Video Games

I don't understand the justifications my friends come up with for continually doing this. I was playing Destiny with my friend and one of his friends and he mentioned that he almost finished paying off his pre-order for GOW4. When I asked him what he would do if that was a bad decision and it was a dud. He nonchalantly said he would trade it in. When I mentioned waiting for reviews, his freind, in a defensive, sort of offended tone stated reviews don't matter and you should decide for yourself w

New 3DS?

So according to a post on facebook I just saw we're getting a 3DS with dual control sticks and dual shoulder pads. But its still the 3DS. And they thought the 2DS would be confusing.

Anyone here play Metal Gear Rising?

I'm stuck on the back to back battles with Mistral and jet-stream Sam.   I can take Mistral down pretty easily with little damage to my health bar and no nanopastes wasted, but I just can't figure out the other guy. Am I supposed to be able to parry all of his attacks? Because he attacks, I parry he attacks again, I can't parry then he starts a combo and I'm stunned and can't do anything about it. (The stunned mechanic is the absolute worst) I can get him down to between 10% and 20% and then he

I'm rather confused...

So my family went to chipotle. Well my father picked it up and when he got home mine had my name as well as a smiley face on it... I haven't a clue why... I wasn't even at the Chipotle and I don't think I know anyone who works there... Is this a normal thing... I'm so lost...

"Next Gen"

-A screenshot of something someone at Microsoft actually said.   So either A: we aren't considering the Wii U "Next Gen" (Whatever that means), B: They forgot about the Wii U, or C: "Delivering", meaning actually launching it. as apposed to having hardware emulation built into the system. Like the Wii U. (I like my Wii U)   Plus we're still using the term "Next Gen" almost two years into the console's life cycle.   If it's an issue of lack of power then one has to wonder why Halo 5 lacks split s
