Hey, all the cool kids are doing it. Ask me questions, I will answer the questions, and all our brains will be filled with a little bit more useless information.
In my quest for my favorite ten albums of 2012, I have encountered a roadblock: I haven't heard many albums from 2012. That's why I'm turning to you, readers of my blog, for suggestions. I do have several requirements for any albums that will be entered into my list of personal favorites of 2012: No EPs. My list of favorite 2012 albums is just that: a list of full albums. No explicit albums. As much as I enjoy listening to a Kanye West song now and again, I'd rather not list albums with a bun
'Tis about time I posted a rant. * * * * * Before you read this rant, I would like to make clear that I am not arguing against profanity in its entirety. I am arguing against overusing profanity. Look around yourself and you will see that insulting has become a staple of our culture. Go to a social networking site or listen to conversations in school; I am sure you will hear teasing in the latter and read outright flaming in the former. I am also sure you will hear or read profanity.
Why does everyone capitalize the second L in Legolover? 'Tis meant to be a single word rather than two words without a space, and thus the second L should not be capitalized. I'm not terribly irked by it, I'm just wondering why other people continue to do it. In other news, I'm thinking of writing a rant against profanity usage. I have neither time nor inspiration at the moment, though.
I think a quote block would be an interesting addition to my blog. The only problem: I need quotes. And that's where you come in. Have you made any quoteworthy posts lately? -- perhaps showed off your incredible powers of sarcasm, humor, or both? Post 'em here and I'll most likely put them in my soon-to-come quote block.
I don't feel any different. Older, maybe, but not different. For my birthday thus far, I've been playing the Be a Pro mode on NHL 09. Later today I'll be going to places like GameStop and Barnes & Noble for birthday purchases. Hopefully after the shopping I'll have time to finally watch Iron Man, perhaps while enjoying some birthday apple pie. A closing thought: I'M FINALLY OLD ENOUGH TO GET A LEARNER'S PERMIT! WHOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!
Seeing as the last one I wrote is apparently too political or controversial, I can't think of anything to write about that would be protected by BZPower's rules. Any advice?
Take the date December 21, 2012. Now translate it into American shorthand dating format: 12/21/12. If each number stands for a letter, 12 equals L and 21 equals U. Thus, "12/21/12" can be translated to "LUL", which, as everyone here knows, is a purposeful misspelling of "LOL". We're all being trolled.
I finally watched The Princess Bride the night of this past Thursday. Even though it was primarily a romance film, and I'm predisposed to cringe a bit at excessive displays of romance on screen (don't shoot!), its humor, plot, and characters were quite enjoyable. Wesley and Inigo Montoya were my definite favorites.
Held every November, National Novel Writing Month (NaNoWriMo for short) is a writing competition where contestants have but thirty days, from the start of November to its end, to write a short novel of at least 50,000 words. It could be a masterpiece, or it could be crummy; and to be honest, the latter option is far more likely. But in participating in a month-long writing spree, you combat Writer's Block and see what it's like to write a novel. Thank goodness competitors are allowed to plot o
This'll be a polarizing entry, but I am obligated to post it: Of Muse's latest album, The 2nd Law, the worst parts are the album cover, the electropop "Follow Me", and the curse word in "Panic Station". Otherwise, 'tis a great album.
Is anyone else geeking out over this news? I bet the video game will be awesome, and I'm intrigued to see what Lord of the Rings sets are made. EDIT: Huh, I translated the following as there being a video game: Perhaps not. But a video game would still be awesome.
I don't want to sound whiny or stuck-up, but I honestly expected Alpharaptor to do far better in its poll than it did. It's got plenty of custom building techniques incorporated, it has a fairly even color scheme, and I honestly think it's my best MOC yet. I'm still of the opinion it's awesome, but apparently that opinion is flawed. I don't think I'm a bad MOCist -- I'm definitely not at the same level as DeeVee or Brickeens, but I'm sure I'm not bad. I just didn't realize I'm not good; at lea
Since I'm taking a math class, why should I not bring some educational value to this blog? Writing mathematical explanations will help me better understand the concepts and perhaps allow you readers to comprehend them with more ease, as well. Note: This is a simple subject because I don't want to jump right into describing more complex things without working my way to that level first. I'm just learning pre-calculus, after all. * * * Let's consider a typical quadratic equation, y = -x2 - 2
Yes, I'm reintroducing Nova into the BZPRPG. However, there will be some notable changes to his characterization: 1. Nova's history will not be as cliche as before, where he was experimented on, miraculously escaped to Mata Nui, and lost all his memories afterward. 2. No more helplessness. Nova will have the most basic fighting knowhow; all that he'll lack is experience, a point I hope to take advantage of. 3. Nova won't be quite as timid as before. He still doesn't know what exactly is re
My last math test of the summer was today. I believe I did well, but that isn't the point of this entry. What is my point, you ask? Well, it's quite simple, but for the purpose of clarification: I'm freeeeeee! Ahem. I am free, ladies and gentlemen, from the tyranny of summer education, free from real life's attempts to hinder my artistic creativity, free from the omnipresent eye of the Pythagorean Theorem (I swear, it followed me everywhere in Pre-Calc 2). Let real life quake in its boot
Research papers are easy compared to persuasive essays. I guess I just need practice. * * * Now. Look at Squishyfrog's blog. Back to mine. Back to Squishyfrog's. Back to mine. Sadly, mine isn't Squishyfrog's. But with my new subtitle, mine can look like Squishyfrog's.
