As I stated in this previous blog entry, I wanted to make some ten lists for some of my favorite things from Metroid to celebrate its 30th anniversary. This is the first of a few lists that I plan to make. As the title says, this particular list is my Top Ten Favorite Beam Weapons from the Metroid Franchise. This is based solely on my opinion about these beams. I will list what games they appear in, what they do, and why I like them. And here we go. 10: Battlehammer Seen in: Metroid Prime
So I had a Youtube video pulled up and was listening to it while I was busy with other stuff, when all of a sudden an ad popped up on it. I went over to the computer to hit the 'skip' button when I noticed the length of this particular ad. It had the longest length I've ever seen on a Youtube ad hands down. How long was it exactly, you ask? It was a hour and 21 minutes long. A HOUR AND 21 MINUTES LONG! And why was this ad so long? Because apparently it was the first two full episodes of MT
There is a random question for the Pokemon fans of BZP: Is Glaceon a good Pokemon to use on a team? I'm currently replaying my Pokemon Y game, and I want to use Pokemon on my team that I haven't used before in that game or any previous Pokemon games I've played. I kind of want to use an Eevee evolved Pokemon on my team, and Glaceon stood out as an interesting Pokemon to use. I've looked up this question online and gotten mixed results, but I want to hear from you guys. Is it worth it to get Glac
So the 73rd Golden Globe Nominations were announced today. Here is the link for anyone who is interested in reading the full list. But there is one category that I want to point out in particular, and that is the Best Motion Picture for a Musical or Comedy. The nominees for this category are Joy, Trainwreck, Spy, The Big Short, and....The Martian? Yep, the science fiction film about an astronaut who was left on Mars because it was assumed he was dead has been nominated for the Best Motion Pic
For those who weren't aware, this year is the 30th anniversary of Nintendo's Metroid franchise. It is hands down my favorite franchise from them. I love it even more than Pokemon. Samus Aran is also one of my favorite video game characters out there. I own all the Metroid games in one way or another, and I've played through all but two of them. (Those two being the original Metroid and Metroid 2: Return of Samus.) Out of the ones I've completed, I've 100% all of them except Super Metroid. (Pl
Last month, when we got a preview for the Winter Toy Shop set, this image of what appears to be a guy holding a Juggle's head mounted to a staff was on the frontpage: This month, when the Luke Skywalker contraction set was reviewed, this creepy image of Luke Skywalker staring into your consciousness was on the frontpage: And both of these were posted before Halloween. It makes me wonder what we will see on the frontpage when October get here.
I've stated that I was going to be making a few lists for some of my favorite things in the Metroid Franchise a couple months back to celebrate its 30th anniversary this year. I've already made a list of my Top Ten Favorite Metroid Beams to start this off back in February. But it has been awhile since I've made my next list. Now it's time to change that, and I'm going to do that by listing my five favorite Metroid Suits. As with my Favortie Metroid Beams list, this is strictly my opinion, and
Lots of new info on upcoming movies from Disney was revealed this weekend at their Expo. This includes movies from Marvel, Lucasfilms, and Pixar movies. Here is a brief summary on some of the info revealed that I liked a lot. 1. Captain America: Civil War: Footage was shown of the film. I don't go into details of it, but I will say that it makes me even more excited to see it when it comes out May 6 of next year. I just wish Marvel would put the trailer online... 2. Doctor Strange: While no
Here it is, folks. The second trailer for the upcoming Star Wars: Rogue One which will be out in December. One of the things I noticed about it is that it has a darker tone to it than from what we saw with The Force Awakens trailers. I really hope that they keep this tone for the whole movie. I don't mind a few jokes here and there, like the couple they have here in the trailer. But overall I kind of want a darker story to be told in this movie. But that is just me. I also think the visuals
Thanks to a Youtuber that I follow, I learned yesterday of four Sonic the Hedgehog games that were never released to the public. They were bundled together and called the 'Sonic Dream Collection.' I watched a couple videos on Youtube that showed people playing them, and my response to them is this: WHAT ON EARTH DID I JUST WATCH?!?! These are seriously some of the weirdest games I have ever seen played. One of them has you mess with Sonic's body, making his head and limbs bigger and smalle
So Star Wars: The Force Awakens appeared on the Starz channels this last weekend, so I decided to watch it after work because I haven't seen it since it was in theaters. Man, I forgot how great the music is in that movie. All the Star Wars movies have good music IMO, but the music in this one is particularly good. It was actually cool just to see the movie again in general. I really like it a lot. And I bet the Starz channels will be playing the movie a lot for the next week or two, so I'm
Here, ladies and gentlemen, is a picture of my cellphone that I have been using for the last six years. (This is just a picture of this type of phone I found online. My actual phone is a little more beat up, but it still works fine.) It makes phone calls and text messages, but not much else. If you are wondering why I still have this cellphone instead of one of the newer ones, it's because I'm just not that big of a cellphone person. I've only sent four or five text messages on this thing i
So truth be told, I actually saw this movie when it came out a few weeks back. I just haven't had the motivation time to type up my thoughts on it. I've seen it two more times since then, and since I have some free time now, I'll go ahead and get my thoughts posted on it. There are spoilers below, so read at your own risk.
So I have three unbuilt sets currently sitting in my room. One is the General Grievous constraction set, which I got back in September. The other two are the Tahu Uniter set and the Darth Vader constraction set, both which I got back in March. I haven't build any of these sets due to a combination of work, doing various stuff online, playing Pokemon: Omega Ruby, and me just being lazy. But now with the Ekimu titan and Umarak the Destroyer sets coming out soon, I figured I better build the set
Well, do you? Yep, this is an 'Ask me Anything' entry. I've seen a couple other members do this lately, so I decided to post one as well. Because why not? Ask away!
This is the post I made in the Official Island of Lost Masks about latest Bionicle book. It sums up my thoughts on it, so I thought I would post it here too.
So I see that some AMA blog entries are popping up again, so why not join in on the fun ? So go ahead and ask me anything. It can be serious or comical, I don't care which. I would just like to be asked questions. So ask away!
As you can tell from the trailer, this latest Zelda game looks beautiful. It also has some amazing music, though nearly all Zelda games have good music, so this isn't a surprise. As for the game itself, its looks like its going to be a lot of fun to play. I do get vibes from Uncharted, Xenoblade Chronicles, and Shadow of the Colossus from it, but those are good vibes. And who wouldn't want to explore Zelda game with a world that looks as big as the one in Xenoblade. (I don't know if it actual
Yes, you read that right. I actually heard about this about a week ago. The Titanic II, which is 'to be built as a modern day replica of the RMS Titanic,' is currently scheduled to launch its first trip in 2018. More info on this can found here My thoughts on this are mixed. On the one hand, I guess it would be interested to go on a ship like this. I'm not a huge fan of staying extended periods of time on ships. But to be on one that is similar to the Titanic, give or take some modern update
This was unexpected! I wonder how the Lego Community will react to this 'great' news. P.S. I know this is really not true. It is not true, right? RIGHT?!
Since I really don't have anything to blog about at the moment, yet I still want to post something here, I'm going to make this one an AMA entry. Because I haven't done one in awhile, so why not? So ask away.
