Tropical Storm Cindy is predicted to be hitting my local area as of this entry later tonight. Or as least, we'll be getting hit by its dry side. (The west side of it) Regardless, it's been awhile since anything tropical has affected where I live. I don't know how bad the storms will be, but I do expect a lot of rain, lightning, and strong winds. Thankfully, I'm off from work today and tomorrow, so I'll be home when it hits and don't have to worry about work until Friday. As with any storm, th
When I learned that this trailer was being revealed last night, I was a little surprised. I thought that we wouldn't see anything on Black Panther until at least after Spider-Man: Homecoming was out in theaters. But I'm not complaining, because this trailer is great. I like how it continues to trend in recent Marvel movies of showing just enough to get you interested in the movie but not give the majority of the plot away. (Though Spider-Man is an exception to that. ) It's a trend that I hope
The following video is about a year old, but I only found it on Facebook the other day. Regardless, it's really cool. It shows scientists founding sharks living in an active volcano.
It's a great find IMO.
Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales came out last weekend, and that is when I saw the movie. It's definitely better than the fourth movie, On Stranger Tides. But it still falls short compared to the first three IMO. They are some good things in it though. One of the opening sequences involving Jack and Co. stealing a bank vault is really cool. It definitely something not seen in a Pirates movie before, and it's one of my favorite action scenes in the movie. The relationship betw
So today is the 40th anniversary of Star Wars. It was on this day, back in 1977, that the first Star Wars film came out, giving the world one of the best sci-fi movies ever made. And since then, we've gotten seven more Star Wars film with more on the way, comics, books, video games, multiple TV shows, and tons of merchandise. (Many of it being Lego sets. ) While the quality of these things depends on the person, there's no argument that Star Wars holds a special place in many people's hearts
For those who don't know what a hand spinner is, it looks something like this. Anyways, I learned yesterday that these objects called 'hand spinners' are the newest craze going on right now. I actually didn't even know that they existed until yesterday. All I've seen them do is spin for a long time while someone is holding it. That's it. I guess they could spin on their own while their laying on a table or something similar, but when I saw people try to do that, the spinner became mobile and c
It's been awhile since I've done one of these. Anyways, I enjoyed Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2. A lot of the jokes were really funny, the action scenes were great, and the movie itself just looked beautiful. It also had a really good soundtrack. It's not as memorable as the first movie's, but it's still good. Everyone in the movie gets a moment to shine, from Peter to Rocket to Baby Groot. Yondu is probably the one who gets the most character development, though everyone from the first mo
It's May the Fourth, so I thought I'd post something Star Wars related here to celebrate the occasion. And what better way to mark the day than to show one of the first YouTube videos I ever watched ten years ago, which just happened to be a Lego Star Wars homemade video.
May the Fourth be with you all!
That is how many consecutive years I have worked at my job as of today. Wow, that feels like a really long time. I started out as a regular attendant at the beginning, but I've worked my way up over the years and became a manager. Now I help run my department. It's been a good six years. Here's hoping the next six will be just as good.
So for the last week or so, my Youtube recommendations have been showing me videos of the part in the animated Beauty and the Beast where Lefou sings to Gaston to cheer him up. Except the scene has been altered in certain ways in each video, which ranges them from funny to odd to disturbing. Here is one of those videos:
And here's another one:
Maybe I should start looking up different stuff on Youtube.
Unless you've been living under a rock, you've probably known that this trailer came out the other day. Star Wars fans have been waiting to see what Luke Skywalker return to the franchise. He made a cameo in Force Awakens, which was cool. But it's great that he will have a bigger role to play in this movie. One thing I really liked about this teaser is that it didn't give that much away about it's story, similar to how the first Force Awakens teaser did back in 2014. I know that's a given, si
Me: 'I've saw Kong, Beauty and the Beast, and Power Rangers a couple weeks ago. I really would like to post something about at least one of them today...' Marvel Studios: Here's a teaser for Thor: Ragnarok! Me: Those movies can wait.
As for what I think of the trailer, it looks great IMO. They picked a great song to go with it. Plus, it has a Guardians of the Galaxy feel going for it, which makes it even better. November can't get here soon enough.
I can't remember a time aside from the summer season where so many movies came out that I wanted to see within weeks of each other. Logan, Kong, Power Rangers, Beauty and the Beast, and Life all fall into this category for me. I guess this means I'll be spending a lot of time at the theaters in the near future. But that's off topic from what I want to talk about in this entry. I saw Life this past weekend, and I thought it was an entertaining movie. The characters were interesting, the specia
And after working roughly 167 hours in the last 12 days at my job, I pretty much feel like poor Arnold here. Joking aside, my busiest week of the year is over, so now I have free time again. Which means I finally have time to do stuff on BZP. It feels good to have said time. So, did I miss anything in my inactivity?
...Until March 21. Another Spring Break is here, which means I'm going to be spending most of my time working at my job starting this weekend. (It's the busiest week of the year for us) Thus, I won't be on BZP until it is over. I MAY be able to visit in the mornings, but I wouldn't count on it. So until then, I head off to a cave of inactivity. See you all on the flip side.
Normally, when I talked about a movie I've seen, I like to go into detail about it. However, I just don't have time to write such a piece at this point in time. But since I've seen Logan twice this past weekend, I decided that I'd post a quick summary of my thoughts on it. And here is said post. There are only mostly mild spoilers below, just to give anyone who doesn't like those a heads up. 1. The main cast, which includes Logan, X-23 AKA Laura, and Charles Xavier, are all great in this. Hugh
So I beat Super Metroid for the second time ever today. Sadly, it was only at 94%. I looked everywhere for the remaining items that I was missing, but I couldn't find them. I know I could've looked up where they were, and I did that for some of the ones I needed help finding. But I actually had been playing it on and off over the last few weeks, and I couldn't exactly remember which items I had and had not gotten already. And with my playtime going over eight hours, I figured it was time to put
