I'm excited to get more characters, no matter who, just to enjoy Smash with them. That said, I'm pretty meh about Bayonetta and Corrin. I'm not a huge fan of either franchise. Both new characters look like the most visually extravagant thus far, so that's cool. I'm not that into Mii Fighters, but excellent new costumes. I know a lot of people will enjoy Geno, Knuckles, and Tails. Well done, Sakurai. That was a fitting send-off.
I love a lot of things, but it's always been really convenient to tell people that my obsessions are LEGO and The Legend of Zelda. Then I watched some Doctor Who, and now I have to explain an unwieldy LEGO/Zelda/Doctor Who trio. Life is hard. And D&D, kinda Then people see my Franklin Badge and there's another franchise involved
Does anyone know of any documents- TLG demographic research, scholarly or semi-scholarly articles, surveys, whatever- about how AFOLs interact with younger LEGO users? Anything about AFOLs being involved in public events, FIRST LEGO League, etc.; or anything about parents who love LEGO fostering a love of LEGO in their kids? Barring that, anything about how parent or adult hobbyists interact with children to encourage that hobby. I'm writing a research paper about how TLG, AFOL subcultures,
D&D books from Ebay. Now I can reference the physical copies! Also I really love psionics. Ness Amiibo! I thought there was no hope... Many thanks to the friend who picked it up for me. Professor Layton and the Diabolical Box, so I can complete the original trilogy. A laptop. Not pictured, a couple of PaB cups, mostly of green pieces, and a box of basic bricks.
I asked for game suggestions a bit back. Now I'd like help being exposed to good electronic music, and guidance on how to browse electronic music and find stuff I like. I'm pretty into videogame remixes, which means that while I'm pretty familiar with what remixes are out there I'm also always looking for new ones. Mostly I'm looking for original pieces. I'm horrible with musical terminology and musical genres, but I think I prefer more melodic stuff? But every now and again a heavy dubstep
Anyone else jump with left trigger and grab with X? No? Because if you accidentally use default controls after getting used to your custom controls, and every time you try to double-jump you airdodge... It's bad.
Nintendo's E3 presentation begins mere hours after I arrive at college orientation. It's going to take all of my willpower to avoid spoilers until I can watch the presentation itself.
This is probably a dangerous thing to ask for, but here goes. Summer break is coming, which bodes well for by gaming career. I'm trying to keep track of games I'm playing or want to play so as to better allocate time and funds. I've added a nifty content block to the right to keep tabs on these things. Obviously it's a little Nintendo-centric, and even within Nintendo there are a few franchises which I've never tried. I need suggestions as to what games would best introduce me to franchis
Finished IB History of the Americas Paper 3. It went surprisingly well, AND NOW I'M DONE WITH IB STUFF. PERIOD. Except for little things like the IB picnic and (hopefully) receiving my diploma. I feel so free. And sad. But free!
"You chug your smoothies?" "No, but I couldn't think of a better word to describe what you wouldn't want to do with peanut butter and strawberry jelly."
Going well so far. Just trying not to think about all the thousands of dollars in tuition, years of work in the past, and hundreds of hours of future work hanging in the balance. Oops.
Recently finished Mother 3 About enter a new era of my life Returning a second Kopaka (since when do I return BIONICLE?) Realizing I may never own a Ness amiibo This song
I remember the days when I never had a backlog of games, when I didn't have more games than I could play, when I played one game at a time, dedicating myself to it and eking out each bit of play value because I didn't have other games to be getting to. The days when I would finish a game and immediately start a new playthrough. I miss those days. I'm blessed with such amazing abundance, and the games I seek out now are certainly more touching, valuable, quality experiences than many of the games
