*sigh*...
I was hoping for all five game series, but this year is looking to be full of sweeps. Pettitte held up, while Pavano couldn't hold back New York, and so the Twins will have to win all three of the next few games--including two in enemy territory at Yankee Stadium.
Likewise, the Rays are headed to Arlington, Texas, where they must also win three in a row to advance, and unlike the Twins, they have to face the third of Texas' top three pitchers in Colby Lewis--not the more question
The oldest ballpark in the National League of Professional Baseball clubs had a section of its roof blown off by the blizzard that is sweeping through the Midwest and now hits the Windy City, with a wind so powerful it took a chunk out of one of Chicago's oldest and most famous landmarks.
Hopefully, there will be no further damage, and a quick repair can be finished before April 1st when the Cubs start up the 2011 season against the Pittsburgh Pirates.
Rangers in five. I expect them to split the first two in AT&T Park, because the Rangers pitch the UNBEATABLE ONE against THE FREAK in game 1, and while Lincecum is terrific, Cliff Lee is better. As for game 2, there's no DH, so Sanchez will beat Wilson. Then the Rangers will have their DH back for the next three games, Colby Lewis will hold the form he had in the ALCS, and the Rangers offense will beat Matt Cain and win game 3. Game 4 will be won by the Rangers bullpen, like it did in the la
You guys know ought to know which teams are in it, I don't need to tell you. My prediction is the team not named Rangers in six. Now if you don't mind, I'll go away and mourn my misfortune. Nobody knows the trouble I've seen. Nobody knows the sorrow...
Glad I got a Wii U for my family instead of waiting for the next Xbox. And I never really considered PlayStation 4. I care about fun games my family as a whole can enjoy--never been all that concerned about graphics. Besides, all of the games we would have gotten on an Xbox One will also probably be available on the Wii U. The main difference is that with the Xbox 360 we couldn't play Mario, Zelda, Smash Bros., LEGO City, or Donkey Kong, and now with the Wii U we can. Plus, there's all those V
You may have noticed my change to a Superman motif in recent days. While one may believe it's because of my argument for Superman in Kraggh's Works (insert weird music note characters here), it's actually because of the new handcuff poster for The Man of Steel. For the first time since I heard about Nolan's association with the picture, I actually felt hopeful about the upcoming film, which I had previously believed would try to heavily alter Superman in a TDK style for which Nolan has become so
As some of you know, the Cubs had a waiver trade with the Braves that sent our first baseman and biggest star Derrek Lee to Atlanta. At first, I was hoping the Cubs would pick up Adam Dunn, but now he's with the White Sox, while most of the other options have been taken away so that the top three available are Konerko, Pena, and LaRoche. Konerko is too expensive for the Cubs, and it's doubtful anyway that he'd want to sign with them after so many years on the South Side. That leaves Pena and LaR
Ice Warrior defeated. Too bad. The good news of course is that I'm that much closer to the big blur of all the destroyed Bohrok-Kal.
Also, come March 25, I get an Olmak spinny.
This football season, my brother decided out of the blue that he was going to be a Bears fan, and I figured I'd have a lot of fun teasing him about his rotten team.
Then they go and win the division.
Ah, who cares, go Bears.
None, says Doc Halladay, as he no-hits the Cincinnati Reds in the second ever no-hitter in Postseason history, preceded only by Don Larsen's perfect game. Halladay also has his second no-hitter this year, his first being his perfect game against the Marlins, and this one would have been a perfect game were it not for Jay Bruce's walk--the only blemish of the night.
I myself was watching the game from the start. I always jokingly say the first time anyone gets on base "There goes the perfect g
Hey, hey, my donation has landed. Anyhow, for those of you who don't know (which would mean everyone but Aho-Chan and Sumiki) the BaseBlog is beyond a blog, this is beyond baseball it's a blog that focuses on the great American sport of baseball. The idea of a baseball themed blog has actually been in the works by me ever since the Super Bowl, when Aho-Chan posted a blog entry asking if anyone besides herself didn't care for the Super Bowl, to which I suddenly got the idea of a baseball-themed b
One of the nice things about turning eighteen is that I'll finally get to vote. Unfortunately, since I live in what can be determined as a red county, the only thing I can really help determine is my representative and president. Since I was still seventeen during the Illinois primaries, my representative in Springfield has practically been determined already, and my state senator ran completely unopposed. All other offices lacked Democratic candidates, though there is a Green Party candidate fo
I thought about posting this in S&T, but there's too much speculation, I think. I'm still formulating ideas anyway. Plus, I don't know half of what I'm talking about is. I was thinking about infections and viruses in BIONICLE. For the most part, the word "virus" is used in BIONICLE to refer to something the Brotherhood of Makuta used in experiments. "Infection" and the only real mention of illness (in MNOG) involves infected Kanohi. My idea is that viruses in BIONICLE are similar to co
