Today. Our dad's going to try and pick out some Bionicle and Exo-Force sets we missed last year. (That's what I expect they'll have, as last time they had a sale like this was last year, and they had '06 sets then.)
EDIT: Well, they didn't have much Bionicle, but Dad DID bring in quite a haul! He got the Batcave set, a Ferrari set, the Battank set, and the MOBILE DEVASTATOR! Wootcakes!
Well, my attempt to get this blog back on track has come to a halt. For Christmas I got a journal that, due to the BZP virus, completely supplanted my blog, and had the added benefit of being private, so that I might be able to record my most meaningful secrets and thoughts in it without fear of misunderstanding. I may update this occasionally, but as you can tell from my previous entries, occasionally is a word which here means "practically never," as Aanchir would put it.
Aanchir and I went and watched The Golden Compass yesterday with a couple of friends. If you want my opinion, I say it's definitely worth watching. I only read the book (and its two sequels) at the beginning of this week, but that in no way lessened my liking of the movie. It managed to stay relatively true to the book while glancing over some of the touchy religious subjects and rearranging things to better fit it to the medium of film. I just read it. It's easily the best book GregF has written so far. It plays on one's emotions in such a way that by the end, one feels exactly like Turaga Nuju does when all is said and done.

Two weeks ago, our family went to a convention for fans of the show "The Office", up in Scranton, PA! We were lucky to have made reservations early this summer (much of our family lives up there), because it was packed! And because one of our great-aunts died three days earlier, so we got to attend the funeral.
But the convention helped to brighten our mood. We got to see The Scrantones (the band that plays the music for the opening credits
My blog's new name and look is from the Mike Oldfield album The Songs of Distant Earth. This album is in turn based on the works of Arthur C. Clarke, most specifically the book The Songs of Distant Earth.
So any of you who were wondering can rest easy now.
In addition, I don't like it as my blog theme either. I will probably change it at some point to being a less themed, more personal blog, or a blog themed after a story of mine called Surreal Life. Don't count on the second one, though
Does anyone have a paperback copy of Silver on the Tree by Susan Cooper, published by Simon & Schuster? 'Cause in my copy, page 25 was left blank, and if someone could provide a scan or something, I'd REALLY like to know what happens between pages 24 and 26.
EDIT: Never mind, I checked out a copy from the library that DID have the missing page. So... problem solved.

I saw yet another threat of attack on BZP. I have heard about the Maori radicals and their attack on BZPower, and I am hoping that this is not a similar case. This member does appear to have little authority, but I am not wishing to live through another hack of my favorite website.

Not the firm kind of hard, as it's actually pretty pliable before you bake it. No, I mean hard to use, especially for making masks. My first sculpey mask turned out good. (I'll post pictures if I ever stop being lazy ) But that had layers, not ridges like my second one has. Or LIPS. If Aanchir designs me another mask that's this hard to make, I'll strangle him. :angry:

So, why Rachira? I thought up the name Rachira, and all of their personal names, last year in an old story about a Toa of shadows. They were going to be dragon-like spirits that served the Shadowed One. I scrapped the idea, since they were nothing but something for the Toa to fight. I gave up on the story.
Meanwhile, school had gotten harder, and less fun. All of these problems were just "facts of life", things that I couldn't change.
Very few people have voted my entry. It's probably the fault of my bad coloring, and that no one recognizes it.
