About this blog

I'm logging in here for the first time in years to apologize. Not really active, just here for that

Happy Thanksgiving's Eve

And also Happy Birthday's Eve to a certain BZP stalker who may or may not have the initials of ToD. And he also probably won't get on BZP at all tomorrow because it's his birthday and Thanksgiving. So yeah happy days all. Get stuffed, have fun, go shopping on Black Friday, whatever you do.   And to all of those still recovering from Sandy, I truly hope that you will be able to have at least a half-deent day tomorrow. God bless you. =3

The New Hero Factory Videos

Eh, cool. But I can't help but thinking "Go cuff him." is a terrible pun that Lego shouldn't have made. XD Unless I'm the only one who thought that and I'm a terrible person. Either way works.   In other news, I went to a convention (FAN:dom) this past weekend. Cosplayed as Sanji from One Piece (again) and Blu Scout from Team Fortress 2. Had fun being crazy and derping around. Also got signatures from Todd Haberkorn, Eric Stuart, Quinton Flynn (not sure on the spelling XD), and Tiffany Grant. To

And people say to nerf Karthus.   Problem is, only pros can actually play eaither right. =P   Either way, I'm kinda sad cuz I have to go to bed now. XD Guess I'll have to catch the final match(es) as replays.

Song of the Moment (Zombie Mecha woot)

"Fire to My Soul" by Demon Hunter. Allow me to explain my mental image at the opening of this song: Fighting zombies with a giant sword. Then, fighting giant zombie mecha in a giant mech with a giant sword. Finally, still the same, only said giant mech is running/rollerblading down a highway at ridiculous speeds.   Rest of the song is cool too, but I <3 the beginning.

Results of Guatemala

That was fun, and more importantly (to me) a good missions experience. Closer to God, got to serve hungry kids, etc. Even got to visit the child that my family sponsors via our missions program. The missionaries hosting us were fun, the place was cool. The food was good, albeit I'm more so in the mood for American food now that I'm back. =P   So yeah. Worst part was getting sick early Friday morning and missing the home visits that morning. Thankfully, I recovered enough to go to the coffe and m

Guatemala

Well, here we go. Going to spend the night at my older sister's apartment (as, incidentally, my youth leader's wife is pregnant and thus we needed a female leader and my sister was available so she's going) and leave the U.S. for Guatemala.   Yay beans and rice for a week. =3 Not bad, as that combination is something I love. XD   And yay being a missionary for a week. =3

Possibly the Answer?

So today we're having the entire darn cable leading from the pole to our house replaced. We have a new modem/router that came free with our upgrade, and we've tried everything else, the only feasible problem could be the cable itself. So... wish the repair people luck.   On a happy note, Mediacom's technical support people are so nice. XD My mom was on the phone with one guy for about two hours yesterday, and he was just awesome. Other people we've got have also been awesome.

More Internet Fun

AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAGH   That suffices my feelings right now. Serious face. Turns out our cable leading to the modem is screwed up, thus forcing us the have a new one put in Wednesday. For now, internet connection is sketchy and on-off at best. =/   Oh well.

Internet Fun

So earlier today, it was storming hard. Hard enough that lightning struck the awning over our back porch, jumped through a window right beside my computer, and struck both our router and modem. Shenanigans later, it seems to be working. Yay.   But yeah, in related news my dad just upgraded our internet so... double yay.

Morning Musings #11 (Selina Kyle)

So, I had an interesting thought (or musing, to go with the title) regarding Dark Knight Rises. If memory serves, never once in the movie did anyone call Selina Kyle Catwoman. Yes, she had the ear-goggles, but that was really the only cat-like quality (aesthetically) that she had. Thus, I really don't think that fans should call her as such, as in the movie she was simply Selina Kyle. There is no Catwoman.   Just my two cents regarding something that likely no one will care about.

Morning Musings #10 (Batman)

First off: This entry is as unspoilerific as I could make it.   Thursday night I went to see The Dark Knight Rises. It is my new personal favorite of the three, with Batman Begins coming second and The Dark Knight a hair past it in third.   Favorite character is, hands-down, Bane. Also has the best two-word line ever. Anyways, main reasons I liked him were as such: "Of course!" is best line. Those eyes were the most expressive eyes ever. That mask looks amazing. He was a good villain. He was rat

Morning Musings #9 (KOTOR)

So KOTOR again. Yeah, it's a fun game.   Played through as Soldier/Guardian/Light/Female, now doing Scout/haven't decided (probably Consular)/Dark/Male.   Yeah, I love it. Have no idea why, besides the fact that it's a great game. =P

...KOTOR

And Killing Floor (still don't know how I'm allowed to play it, but cool =P) and League of Legends (still =P).   Sums up my life right now.   Also a few rl things, like church and BSA.

Morning Musings #8 (Metal)

So metal music is totally awesome, right? And (if you're Christian) Christian metal is awesome, right? If you don't agree with those statements, then you probably want to leave here. =P   Anyhow, awesome "new" band started by the son of a family friend. It's called Day of Vengeance. Check out some of their music (especially from the second album, Star Breather), support them. I'm sure they'd appreciate it, and you'll get some great music, too.   *end shameless plug*   Am I the only one here who

Two More Weeks Of Not Being On Bzp >.<

Title says all. Church youth camp/mission, then summer camp for Boy Scouts.   So... yeah. To those awaiting some kind of terrible ending in BaR, know that I'll post it when I can, even if it has to be in a short story topic.   Day Run players, imsorryimsorryimsorryimsorryimsorryimsorryimsorryimsorryimsorry I'm terrible for leaving. >.<   Everyone else, see ya later.

Ah, lawn mower, why must you be such an evil creature? I finally use you to cut that vile plant life, and you won't start after I take a short break! Thou art a cruel, cruel being.

Morning Musings #5 (Shameless Plug)

(Well, guess they don't have to be daily. =P [Or anywhere near the morning. {After all, it's morning somewhere.}])   It would be awesome if everyone voted for Not Alone over here. Again, don't vote blindly, but if you vote for anyone else I will not hug this kitten.   Also, Waves of the South and Shifting Sands are two awesome entries for the current RPG contest. Just saying.

Morning Musings #3 (Told Ya)

Yep, told y'all that I'd forget these rather quickly. And against it's afternoon. Blah. However...   Flooring a house is definitely an interesting experience. Everything has to be moved, and stuff happens. No computer (aside from a slow Mac laptop). Now I got it back... and the Humble Indie Bundle happened. I really need to stop promising things then getting caught up in other things. DX   Great, already grasping for straws in #3. This will probably die soon. =P   OH ALSO. I made it into one of

Morning Musings #2 (Really Afternoon)

So today, it rained. More than it did yesterday. That's one reason why I'm posting this in the afternoon. Be praying for the entire Gulf Coast area guys.   But anyways, to the actual musing. If washing machines are supposed to be able to wash out dirt and stains, how is it that when my mom puts our initials on the tags of our clothing (for separation purposes), the Sharpie never washes off?

Floors

So today my family is redoing our entire flooring. That means tearing up a carpet, moving all the furniture, and disconnecting my computer for a bit. This is one of those times I wished I had my computer in my own room. >.<   But hey, we'll be rid of this horrid linoleum-whatever-the-heck-this-is. So that's a plus. And grouting shall be interesting, at the very least. Plus it won't just be laminent (not sure that's how it's spelled) tile after laminent tile, there are different sizes that
