Vague Idea For An Epic

Kevin Owens

S.C.A.R.S. is a top secret special operations group under the control of the BoM. The members of S.C.A.R.S. are highly trained and highly dangerous individuals, who hail from all walks of life. Hours after an incredibly dangerous mission, S.C.A.R.S.' planned vacation is canceled when an emergency comes up that only they can handle.

Thirty six hours ago, Destral lost contact with Black Tundra, an experimental weapons facility located on the southern islands. The facility's existence is so secret, that only upper echelon Makuta know of it. The station was in the middle of a blizzard when communication was lost, and the only way in or out is via Olmak. S.C.A.R.S. is inserted. Their mission: To find out just what happened at Black Tundra, secure the facility, and to ensure the safety of any stranded scientists. The mission is dubbed Operation Winter Frost. The mission was a critical failure, with the majority of S.C.A.R.S. either dead or MIA. Two weeks after the mission, S.C.A.R.S. is disbanded.

The story that follows is the attempts of one man to piece together the story of what just happened at Black Tundra, Operation Winter Frost, and what happened with S.C.A.R.S. during those fateful hours. It's a smorgasbord of classified briefings, debriefings, interviews, dossiers, field reports, and audio and video logs. It's a difficult task, with many records being incomplete, in poor quality, or otherwise destroyed. The end result is a twisted labyrinth of a puzzle, with no clear or possible solution.

Dunno if I'll do anything with it.

(Also I had an amazing time this spring break~)

Hmmm...it says "interactivity" to me. I think if we let the audience piece it together and progress the plot accordingly, it would be much more interesting, yes?

...If you're not gonna use this, you wouldn't mind if I do? :D

Idea is currently not up for grabs and never will be. I am very, very possessive of my ideas. That's why I didn't hand off the Experiment even though there were a few people asking if I would.

Story will not be interactive. It would go in the library and I would update it as I see fit.

We could get together over PM for some world building. I'd love to co-write for this.

I'm afraid I don't get what you're asking. Why would I need to world build when Greg has already done so?

Also, I am not currently looking for a co-writer.

By world building I meant focusing on the world of the story itself, as in determining characters, fleshing out the backstory of S.C.A.R.S., introducing conflicts, etc.

I suppose world building wasn't the proper term, since there's already a huge world to Bionicle. What I was getting at was exploring how this story fits into the grander scheme of things and also how the self contained universe of the story functions.

Ah. Well, I appreciate the offer, I already have the majority of it planned out. Well, the basic framework anyway. I'd be making most of it up on the fry.

I said I didn't know if I was going to do anything with it. Not that I probably wasn't going to do anything with it. I was just setting the record straight.

That doesn't explain why you are so hostile. You could have just said "hey, sorry, not up for grabs." You didn't need to go "rawr hands off my idea  "

But I did say that the story was not up for grabs. I wasn't hostile. I'm sorry if it came off that way, but I had several people pester me about The Experiment and didn't want a repeat of that.
