BioGio Posted March 23, 2011 Only if he did so with his Sonic Screwdriver. BTW, the Doctor is called the Doctor because it illustrates his world view and purpose in life--fixing and healing things/people. ~ BioGaia Quote
-Toa Lhikevikk- Posted March 23, 2011 I'm pretty sure there was a classic serial where he climbs inside his own brain to see what was wrong with it. Don't ask... especially since I haven't seen said serial. Given how completely inept he is at assisting with childbirth I wouldn't quite trust him to do any other medical stuff. Quote
Trevsky Posted March 24, 2011 I've considered watching Doctor Who just for the sake of obtaining a better British accent Quote
ChocolateFrogs Posted March 24, 2011 I would not trust him to operate on me like a real doctor. As for medical things and mental health, I would trust his recommendations whatever they be (from taking asprin to mixing up some stardust with orange juice--or whatever he tells me). -CF Quote
Sisen Posted March 24, 2011 I would only let him operate him on me if, Martha was with him, or another companion and K-9 were there to help him. He might be smart but he isn't always the sharpest tool in the shed medically speaking. Afterall, when he gets hurt he heals and has the ability to regenerate. The Doctor doesn't really need a doctor. Quote

The Doctor doesn't really need a doctor. I don't know; almost all the classic regenerations were crazy and nearly killed the Doctor in the process, and Ten's regeneration was pretty explosive. Now, Nine's regeneration was a break from the whole crazy regenerations, but he wasn't actually wounded. Then again Ten was actually wounded either, but it could be he was holding back the regeneration as he did his fairwells, so it was released after building up for a while. Quote
