Elmara: Spirit Of Fire

Does anyone here play it? It looks interesting, and all my friends tell me, "Oh, it's the greatest thing ever, you should totally play," but I've been dragged into these kind of things before (i.e. Dofus) and I did not enjoy that at all. I just want to know what the point of the game is. When I ask my friends, they say little more than "You dig n' stuff." Can anyone here be more serious than them?

It is the single greatest thing ever created by humankind and I am not even kidding.

It gives you a whole world that is yours to use as you wish. There are no limits to what you can do with it. None.

Again, nothing in this post is sarcastic.

It's a sandbox game where you place/destroy a variety of different blocks and use the resources collected by doing so to make ("craft") new items to help you out in the game: Armor to protect from the monsters, weapons, better digging tools.

You can also have a pet wolf.

It looks more addictive than illegal narcotics.

I'm staying away for my own good. :(

Yes it is.

However, unlike illegal narcotics, you should still try Minecraft anyways.

It's a cubic world in which you destroy/collect certain blocks of different materials to create objects of unending magnitude.

It has two versions: Classic and Beta.

Classic is an in browser version, with more or less the same qualities as Beta, with several key differences. These include, it's free, it doesn't have any enemies, you can't save, there's no redstone (as far as I know, I haven't played).

Beta is a downloadable version, which costs about $20-30USD, but includes all the stuff that Classic lacks.

Yeah, it has enemies, as well as allies (known as mobs) such as skeletons, zombies, creepers (exploding zombies), pigs, wolves, sheep, cows etc.

Too much information? Excellent. :sly:
