Big Argument With Parents About Ponies ponies Entry posted by Bambi November 9, 2011 396 views Share
 Followers 2 Oh. My. Gosh.Really?Really?Really?I want to hit something.
Sumiki Posted November 9, 2011 Obviously they needed to be loved and tolerated. Or maybe they should just watch an episode. Quote Link to comment
Toa of Dancing Posted November 9, 2011 Show them an awesome episode, if they'll relent to doing so. Probably not "Lesson Zero", BTW. While bronies love the ep, it seems others don't. Quote Link to comment

~Allegretto~ Posted November 9, 2011 Dragonshy and Sonic Rainboom are pretty good starter eps, I think. But what did they say? I'm curious. Quote Link to comment
Peach 00 Posted November 9, 2011 I can't really say you should be angry. After all, it's just a show about ponies - it's not like all of us haven't had arguments with our parents about things we like, I suppose. Still, what did they say? Not trying to pry into personal business, but just out of curiosity. =/ Quote Link to comment
Bambi Posted November 9, 2011 Well..This is how it started. I was talking to my mom about getting a MLP t-shirt. She said I can't because MLP is for girls and moms who see me will want to keep their kids away. Then she started ranting about how bronies want to (for BZP's sake) do bad things to kids and that they're tricking me. So I was like that's not true and told her about that guy at my church who likes MLP. So she was like yeah whatever it doesn't matter what other people like. Then I just walked out and my dad asked what were we arguing about. So I told him and he said "Look me in the eye" so I did. Then he asked why I would want that. So I told him because I like MLP. Then he started using the bible as a tool against me and told me that I'm letting to world control me. THEN he said I need to get interested in other things. So I was like "There's nothing else to get interested in" and he was like "there's LOTS of things"Then pretty much said everything he already said and told me I need to start trying to get a job and a car. So I said if I do then I'll go to the stores and buy MLP things. And he was like "God says in his word blah blah blah when I became a man I put away childish things you're not a 9 year old girl do you like Barbie?!"I don't remember everything, but that's pretty much how it went. Sumiki Posted November 9, 2011 Blast Eurobeat Brony's remixes from your computer as loud as possible. (I'm not sure how much good it would do actually.) But yeah, sorry to hear about that, man. If only they knew how manly MLP is. Quote Link to comment
Chols Posted November 9, 2011 I have some counter arguments for that, but I'm not sure how much I can say here. Basically, I disagree with their reasons. Instead, have some C.S. Lewis, because he's cool. Quote Link to comment
Legolover-361 Posted November 9, 2011 The way I see it, wouldn't an MLP T-shirt be covered with pink and glitter in the first place? I don't think they're sold for boys. I don't think there's anything wrong with the show, though, except the widespread assumption that it's girly. Quote Link to comment
Bambi Posted November 9, 2011 It's just a black shirt with a Vinyl Scratch vector. Quote Link to comment
~Allegretto~ Posted November 9, 2011 Blast Eurobeat Brony's remixes from your computer as loud as possible. Seconded. But I guess it could have been worse; you could have ended up like that one guy who got kicked out of his house when his parents found ponies on his computer. Quote Link to comment
Rarity Posted November 9, 2011 What the... Dude. We aren't freakin child... "abusers" And the Bible? We aren't all homosexuals(like I said in me blog.. READ IT) I don't think it speaks against MLP anywhere in it. Quote Link to comment
Angel Beat Posted November 9, 2011 They're peeved at a show about love and tolerance? Quote Link to comment
Legolover-361 Posted November 9, 2011 Well... I don't think you should let other people control your personal interests. But on the other hand, I've seen more pony hate in real life than on the internet; wearing a pony-related shirt could open you up to teasing. Quote Link to comment
dotcom Posted November 9, 2011 Oh man, religious parents with hypocritical morals. What else is new. Quote Link to comment
Bundalings Posted November 9, 2011 Using the Bible to discourage people from watching a show that teaches young people - and reminds old folks - how to be good human beings is kind of lame. =/ I'd say try not to let this incident poison you against ponies or religion. Quote Link to comment
Takuma Nuva Posted November 10, 2011 I'm glad to see that everyone here is being reasonable (at least for the time being), but be very wary of religious discussion, guys. I don't want to have to lock anything. Quote Link to comment
