From: Collectable Minifigures You Want To See

- Boy Scout, with GPS and walking stick.

Wow.

Wow.

I feel old.

When I was a kid in Boy Scouts, we used just used compasses. GPSes didn't even exist.

I feel SO. OLD.

Anyway I'd like to see bassist and drummer figs so I could make a complete band.

Was expecting him to say "Guitarist"! Or do we have one of those already?

That makes two of us. This old fart didn't even KNOW today's Scouts used GPSes! I bet the group I was in doesn't!

Or you could just determine direction using the stars or position of the sun. Who really needs a compass?

Join the club, it was the same way back when I was in scouts and such. In fact, I barely even used a compass for the most part, though I did have one. I think I was just overconfident, and, well, 'stick with the group' was something that was drilled into us. =P And since that was like that, chances were that someone knew where we were going.

the majority of scouts still use compases. GPS's are fallable, what with batteries and all.

I get it. The compass has become a backup plan, like the old Scouts saying, "Be prepared".
