BrickFair or Bronycon?

They're both happening the same weekend next year, and for once Bronycon is within a reasonable distance of my home in Virginia.

I'm definitely going to BrickFair (as I have for every year since its inception), but it'll be a shame to miss out on Bronycon when it shows up on my doorstep.

Part of me wonders if it would be feasible to visit Bronycon just for one day, probably Saturday during the public hours. Any other Bronies going to be at BrickFair? Perhaps together we could come up with some sort of plan?

I'd do that- just go to Brickfair one day and Bronycon the next.

BrickFair > Any other convention, easily. :P But your idea of visiting for a day does some cool, especially if you can do it with other pony / Lego fans! Hope it works out for ya!

Take the whole family to Seattle in October, go to BrickCon instead.

Plenty of time for other conventions that way : D

That could mega-interfere with school. Also, Brickfair is just better than BrickCon. :P

Part of the issue is that I can't drive. Which means I'd have to either hitch a ride with someone or navigate at least two different metros (which would at least double the amount of time it takes to get both there and back). I figure if any other BZPowerites (or AFOLs of any variety) wanted to join in and at least one of them could drive, carpooling might be an option.

I only prefer BrickCon because it's a closer environment as it's a tighter group of AFOLs. I actually know quite a few of them by first-name.

The other personal perk there for me is I live so close 8D

I'd rather go to BrickFair. Although I am a Bronie but I would never miss a chance to go to BrickFair.
