Pokemon wonderlocke: Day -1

Well, I am going to start a Wonderlocke challenge in a day or two.

This entry is more of a way of how I lay down the rules for this challenge.

RULE 1:

When a Pokemon faints, it goes out to the Wonder Trade as soon as possible. In the middle of a gym, and they KO my star Pokemon? Gotta trade it out on Wonder Trade.

RULE 2:

I can only use Pokemon I get from Wonder Trade. The only exception to this is the fact that I will breed pokemon from wonder trade in order to nickname them. I cannot use the starters I receive, nor the legendaries I catch.

RULE 3:

I can only heal upon entering a town from a route, before a very large event, or after a gym battle. I can always use healing items (apart from revives) no matter where.

(edit) RULE 4:

All pokemon MUST be nicknamed, either by breeding a pokemon and nicknaming the offspring myself, or getting someone else to breed and nickname it for me (prior to actually getting to the daycare)

(edit) RULE 5:

I cannot use the EXP share.

(edit) RULE 6:

If I find a wild shiny, I will catch it and use it, even if it faints (postgame, that is.)

And that is all the rules. I shall start keeping a log tomorrow or Wednesday, though I will need someone to breed my first few pokemon so I can give them nicknames.

Like I said, I'd wonder trade off Route 2 pokemon.

but i would need someone to breed the ones I get (or trade me one they have if it has the exact same level) so I can get an ideal nickname

and eventually a ditto so I can nickname them myself.

i can never tell sarcasm or not but if serious i have never felt too challenged when playing pokemon games

well

i'm not as bad as i would be in NORMAL games

No sarcasm, although the luck factor is crazily greater than even Nuzlocke runs. But that makes it more fun, right?

Of course you may just get awesome OP pokemon on wonder trade and then breeze through the game.

There's always that chance.

There's also the chance I get stuck with, say, a magikarp.

that happened once.

the person named the magikarp SUUCK IT

the person who traded it to me wasn't the owner, they just didn't want it.

oh well

gonna start today, i'll make an entry about what 'mons i get, then tonight i'll write up what happened.

Leveled to what I got them at, yes.

I suspect I'll primarily be getting Level 1's, though, but if I get, say, a level 35 pokemon from wonder Trade during a time where that is applicable (I don't want to start off with levels that high), then I would need it trained, yes.

but I'll grind the level 1 Pokemon I get so they're equivalent to the rest of the team.

In that case, I hope you don't mind if they come back with wacky EVs, because I can't be bothered to super train every single pokemon too =P
