I guess the more time passes without the rumor being disproved, the less likely you are to believe that it will BE disproved. Even if you don't have any reason to expect any evidence of either possibility right away.

Yes, that's it exactly. Good talk. Thing is, I realized that but forgot to say it when I posted the entry. That logic is flawed, however. New information could arise anytime after all and often leaks of this kind are never actively denied, most of the time there is simply no comment.

I wouldn't say these kinds of rumors are NEVER actively denied. Remember this LEGO Message Boards topic from October 2012? Incidentally, the fact that the topic in question was unpinned semi-recently (for reference, it was still pinned as recently as March 2014) is one piece of non-leaked evidence people have pointed to supporting the idea that there might finally be plans for BIONICLE's return.

 

Greg was also willing to say as recently as December 2013 that "There actually aren't any plans to bring BIONICLE back right now". But at some point, he stopped giving such definitive answers.

Well, guess you have a point there. The fact that LEGO doesn't seem to be outright denying it anymore is of course even more an indication that the rumor may indeed be true. But my initial point still stands.

Eh, I try not to dwell on that kind of stuff.  I can think about it and argue both sides for days or weeks on end, but ultimately I will still reach a brick wall because of a lack of information.  Basically, saying "it will happen" or "it won't happen" is silly and pointless. 

 

On the other hand, Mario Kart is a thing that exists and is a much better use of my time.
